I'm guessing faulty panel... I have zero issues and know many others who don't have any issues you do... Not sure heat is the issue. You can definitely try anything though! Gl

Just picked up a used model for $250 here in Poland. I've never even laid eyes on anything over 240hz so im pretty excited.
I also read that this monitor supports dithering for 10-bit color depth up to 300hz. Has anyone tried it that can atest to the colors?
I guess I'll need to go back through this thread to see how people are using CRU to achieve the best possible performance.

Here are some CSGO settings i think are great
Overdrive Extreme
VRB Extreme
Both of these are fine at normal also

color settings;
r gain; 55
g gain; 50
b gain; 50

r bias; 51
g bias; 49
b bias; 49

r saturate; 100
g saturate; 80
b saturate; 80
y saturate; 55
m saturate; 50
c saturate; 80
These are great color settings thank you!

Anyone know why i'm stuck at 120hz when I enable Gsync?

Owners of this good and cheap monitor,i need your help..

I was experimenting with Dp versions in service menu..
and to my suprise picture was more clearer then on default dp 1.4..

So maybe i am wrong about this,so i need your help to verify..

DSC (displaystreamcompression)is the crucial part here.
disabling DSC with lower output dp version maybe removed some calculus and enabled some sort of faster image delivery..
even thou logic will say that DSC is what makes faster output..
not certain at all, just thinking outloud..

for example:
panning(watching from highest FOW-manual camera can allow, when spec someone gaming) in DOTA2 looks great
without any sort of tearing which is not the case on 1.4 version..
even thou the fps is low(compared to 390hz output for matching fps=hz)
like 200 droping to 150 in big team-fights.

1.1 version and 960x540 390hz(360hz even better) looks much more clearer than on dp 1.4..etc

enter service menu select dp 1.1 or 1.2 and just observe if there is any difference..
when you are in service menu just press joystick after you selected DP version, screen goes black for brief moment..and thats it,
enter service menu again to verify change.

if you had done something in CRU,
make sure you have some lower res created..so you will not face black screen..
bcs higher resolutions on DP 1.1 will be invisible.

how to enter service menu:

hold first button above the joystick, while simultaniusly pressing highest On OFF button, turn off monitor,
while not releasing button above the joystick
release the button above the joystick when monitor is booted.

press joystick, you are in the default menu now,you will see red F in top left corner in the menu..
press first button bellow On OFF and you are in.

EDIT:
didnt try with HDMI,different cable same principle applies.

im reading through this forum but never got a clear understanding what to use, so for the lowest latency and input lag its better to have it overclocked at 390hz then cap my game at 240 fps?

I play fortnite and currently playing it professionally , i bought this monitor recently and trying to find the best settings possible, i currently have VRB set to extreme and overdrive on normal with over clock off, 240fps fortnite 240hz control panel, is it better to use 390hz 240fps , my pc is good and will stay at around 200-240 no matter what but it will not stay at 390 fps hence why i capped it at 240fps, freesync and g sync is turned off due to the input delay

I saw the review on the 500hz dell, they said the pixel response time is 1.8ms vs other benq and Asus 1.4ms.. does anyone know the pixel response time on the Acer 390hz?? I didn't notice it in any reviews, or maybe I just don't know what I'm looking at lol.
