I think I will also test this AOC 24G2ZU at some point when it will be available (Shows December currently here in Finland :( ). Gots to have hobbies. I love it and I hate it to be so obsessed with this crap. Happy that we have so good return rights so it costs nothing but my time eventually if I end up not liking it. I do like the idea of better PPI for a bit smaller panel @1080p. Very interested if someone could post some good UFO shots of that one.

My take on this Acer XV252QF remains impressed compared to 240Hz MAG251RX but not revolutionary. Slight improvement. Personal game performance same as ever. Has been since 144Hz days after thousands of hours. Some days win and flick crazy shots like no ones business and some days can't do sht.

I dont own the AOC 24G2Z, a friend of mine has it right now. I will ask him to make ufo shots, any particular settings needed while making the photos?
1920 speed would be ideal.

This weekend I have tried the AOC 24G2Z that Notty claims to be better than all 360 hz+ screens (its only 300 euro, so not that expensive). But this is absolutely not my experience, I could tell it's more responsive and no ghosting issues compared to older models in 240hz category but no where near as snappy than on this acer. I also have the AW2721D 240hz 1440p and this xv252QF is just that good that I can't even go back to 240hz anymore. Aiming and responsiveness is for me is really a huge difference. Even compared to the new generation 240hz panels/tech. The biggest difference u will notice is microaiming on 8k polling rate and corner shots plus input lag.

Mine is manufactured in march 2021.

When it comes to clarity and colors the AW2721D absolutely shits on the xv252qf, but when it comes to performance, its the total opposite, and that's the most important for me.

The only monitors that would be considered to be an upgrade is either 1440p 360hz+ or 1080p 480hz when it gets released.
Did you notice a difference in PPI? from 23.8 to 24.5 inch / difference in sharpness? most noticeable in windows / when browsing. I recently returned a XV252QF, cos of grainy/blurry image and i currently have a 23.8 inch, just wondering if a maybe got a bad monitor.

Majority of ufo tests online are done at 960pps. If taken at 960pps+ you wouldn't be able to compare it directly to most of the monitors. I'd recommend to keep it at default speed for that reason. But I understand faster would be more of a realistic demonstration for fast paced gaming.

Coming from the AW2518H, which I believe also uses a 24.5" panel (but I could be wrong), I thought this Acer monitor looked sharper for some reason, and I don't use the sharpness feature either. I mean, there will be a decent PPI difference coming from your existing monitor for sure. Maybe the coating on the monitor is less appealing to you than your current one. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and don't notice any kind of grainy or blurry image. I also have 1440p monitors at 27". Obviously those look a lot better due to better PPI, and I instantly noticed the massive downgrade there when I originally went from 1440p 144 Hz to 1080p 240 Hz, but I stuck with 1080p for the competitive edge that these highest end monitors give and for the extra FPS in games.

Coating was my first guess and from my research the coating should actually be the same as i have on my current monitor. Im unsure if such a small PPI would annoy me that much that i had to return the monitor, 92.5 PPI to 89 PPI seems so low. Could it be backlight bleed or IPS glow? i'm not sure, i might just try buying another one from a different retailer.

Yes it's a bit sharper. But not like 1080p till 1440p. But it looks more crisp in general. Hopefully today he can send me the pictures. Yesterday at evening he could not do it.
