My Acer also has problems with random black screens, in fact I'm no longer using it, it happened to me that while I was playing ranked on Apex or Valorant, the black screen made me lose games.zaczac wrote: ↑27 Apr 2022, 19:50
By flickering do you mean going black for a second then coming back? If so I would return it ASAP. I bought the AOPEN version and only had it for 14 days, it did this a few times a day and then fully died. (The LED on the front didn't even come on). I could also get it to happen by touching my headset / usb ports so it might have been static buildup or interference but my other monitors are fine and never did this.

never had any of these wonk issues. maybe the western low price came with a caveat after all?
Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Just double checking this is my lighting/specific unit's quirks, is there any information on what monitor refresh rate the OD setting was was targetted for? Man I should really get one of those input lag testers so I can see if OD extreme is worth on 360hz.

@manimal 5000 Thanks, me too. It's been holding up lately, and with the original cable too.
Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
one of the earliest listing of the acer x25 insist on the 390hz being a gimped offer. so why didn't acer oc the x25 then? really weird honestly. and acer also was one of the earliest if not the earliest to tease 4k 240 and I randomly commented about why I think 960hz 1080p is more important and relevant to esport and somehow got to top comment lol..
more rumors of 4k higher hz resurfacing while previously we thought the 2k 360hz was gonna be the main dish next.......

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
So i just got this monitor, anytime i set it to overclock on and set it to 390hz, the screen keeps cutting out to black non stop
using the supplied dp cable going to a 3070 ti. Do i need to upgrade the cable to the ones im seeing linked in this thread?
Thank you!!

by the way this monitor is amazing outside of not being able to use 390hz without the screen turning off and on

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Could the monitor flickering cause input lag?
Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
If anyone still has problems with the flickering issue, I found a way to fix it when using a nvidia GPU.
note tho that I have 0 clue what the hell this setting changes and if it can damage the monitor in any way.
Maybe some mod can tell me as the documentation on it just states what it does but not if that's bad or something.
Anyways, here is the scuffed video I made: https://youtu.be/hqnGeEQJQdc
Maybe gonna make a new one because my setup now is different as i was dumb and used a Capturecard cloning my display with different refresh rates...
