Hi guys, I have a problem with the monitor, I have the Acer Nitro version, when the monitor is overclocked at 390hz, if I am playing any game and I push alt-tab going for example on google chrome, the monitor screen starts to blinking continuously, so that I don't go back to the game.
Does anyone else have the same problem as me? and if so, how did it solve?
Thanks
Not sure but it might be related to freesync and fullscreen/borderless/windowed game. Play around with that.
Does it do the same when its not overclocked?

Try better cable? - https://youtu.be/bPn5avXjSoY
this guy on youtube has my problem but in a slightly different way, always with overclock on, in game I have no problems, but if I keep the game in the background and open google for example, google starts to see itself like this.

The problem only occurs at 390hz, I have a VESA certified display port cable and it supports up to 8K 60hz

this guy literraly wrote this in the comment section :

Code: Select all

this problem has been solved by replacing the original cable with a Lindy dp.14 cable, no more flashing @390hz

wow, it looks so blurry in comparison to the 240hz with ulmb

I think i'll just wait until the next generation of monitors if 390hz isn't even making a difference!

I'll wait, too. But for different reasons.

Latency reasons? What reason?

The Firestorm was $399 now it's back to $449, so price and latency.

And this is how XG2431 looks. It can even be improved further. Amazing!

What is the issue with latency? Am I missing something? It seems to have less latency than the previous lowest latency monitor (PG259QN).
