One thing I noticed, on the desktop while I'm working it doesn't blink, in Valorant it practically doesn't blink, at least it hasn't blinked lately, if it blinked it was one time or another. In COD, perhaps because it is a heavier game, it blinked a lot at 390hz, it wouldn't blink if it had a custom resolution with manual timing in NVCP. Does this have something to do with the temperature of the monitor or video card? Or I can just leave the custom resolution with manual timing in NVCP and get rid of it forever, at 390hz. But I'm afraid I'm losing some monitor performance in "native" 390, either for some different timing than it is in "native OC" mode.

I was wondering if overdrive is better set to normal or extreme for 360hz? I know that normal is recommended for 390hz but what about 360hz? is extreme better? has anyone done any testing with the overdrive settings for 360hz?

I run normal and everything else off.

I know some say extreme, tbh I don't notice much difference. I play valorant, CSGO, and apex for the most part. My monitor works @ 390hz no flicker issues, so that's what I run 24/7

Hello,

I usually used "Extreme" because I thought higher = better for high fps, but realized during the UFO-test that it looked slightly less blurry / smeared on normal overdrive instead. Turning off the overdrive completely yielded the worst results. I guess that's why it defaults to normal.

Kind regards

I haven't done that test yet. I'm currently using Overdrive Extreme and VRB OFF. I felt a bit of a headache and I don't know if it could be because of the VRB or the infection I had last week. But I'm testing a few weeks like this and then I change to be sure. I'm loving it, playing Valorant at 390hz is ultra smooth and easy.

What do you prefer? Increase the digital vibrance in NVCP or leave it at 50% and increase the color saturation in the monitor's OSD? Why?

Is there a way to change the brightness when VRB is enabled?

VRB extreme is too bright for me and I would like to lower the brightness level but it instantly turns VRB off.

Edit: Lowering the brightness before enabling the VRB does not help. Eventhough when I set brightness to 0 and then turn VRB to Normal or Extreme it increases the brightness a lot. Of course I can lower the gamma in game but still would like to just change it from the display.

every time i turn my pc off i have to reeanble VBR on the monitor.. is there any way to fix this..? it's so tedious

Edit:
fixed the problem, the problem is that when the pc boots the bios display is at 60hz, disabling VBR, if you have a second monitor, switch the display ports plugs around so that the bios screen shows up on the secondary monitor instead of the 390hz VBR one, this stops it from disabling VBR

Edit 2:
I also fixed the 390hz flicker problem, I solved this by disabling "DDC/CI" in the system settings and I upgraded my DP cable to Maxonar DP Cable 2.1 - disabling DDC/CI fixed most of the flickering and the remaining rare flickering was fixed by changing the DP cable to a better one. You can also try changing the polarity of the monitor in the nvidia settings, someone else said disabling "max brightness" also fixes their flickering. Good luck!

Owners of this good and cheap monitor,i need your help..

I was experimenting with Dp versions in service menu..
and to my suprise picture was more clearer then on default dp 1.4..

So maybe i am wrong about this,so i need your help to verify..

DSC (displaystreamcompression)is the crucial part here.
disabling DSC with lower output dp version maybe removed some calculus and enabled some sort of faster image delivery..
even thou logic will say that DSC is what makes faster output..
not certain at all, just thinking outloud..

for example:
panning(watching from highest FOW-manual camera can allow, when spec someone gaming) in DOTA2 looks great
without any sort of tearing which is not the case on 1.4 version..
even thou the fps is low(compared to 390hz output for matching fps=hz)
like 200 droping to 150 in big team-fights.

1.1 version and 960x540 390hz(360hz even better) looks much more clearer than on dp 1.4..etc

enter service menu select dp 1.1 or 1.2 and just observe if there is any difference..
when you are in service menu just press joystick after you selected DP version, screen goes black for brief moment..and thats it,
enter service menu again to verify change.

if you had done something in CRU,
make sure you have some lower res created..so you will not face black screen..
bcs higher resolutions on DP 1.1 will be invisible.

how to enter service menu:

hold first button above the joystick, while simultaniusly pressing highest On OFF button, turn off monitor,
while not releasing button above the joystick
release the button above the joystick when monitor is booted.

press joystick, you are in the default menu now,you will see red F in top left corner in the menu..
press first button bellow On OFF and you are in.

EDIT:
didnt try with HDMI,different cable same principle applies.
hey, did you ever come to a conclusion?

What is best for pure performance/input lag?
