Anyone got some good color settings or other tweaks for the xv252qf.
I'm rocking Bijan's color settings from this exact video https://youtu.be/O_ddND-QiTA?t=629 (10:30) and for me they're pretty good for both video, internet content consumption as well as CS:GO/Overwatch/Valorant gaming.

Better tracking and flicking here, Kovaaks and in game. Others monitors XL2546K, VG279QM.

AMD 21.9.2 works fine at 390Hz with my 6800XT.
I also perform significantly better on my Nitro XV252QF than on Zowie XL2546K in terms of gaming. Especially in Overwatch cuz it's a really fast-paced game and quite a lot of stuff is happening on the screen at the same time :) . I will also add that going from TN to IPS made watching series, twitch and youtube an overall better experience. Finally my blacks are somewhat black and not gray..

Man I can't choose when reading this forum.

So I'm still running a xl2430t, I've been wanting to upgrade to 240hz or higher. a year ago I ordered the xl2546 non k had to return it 3 times cause there were hairs in my panels and dead pixels. Decided I didn't want to try again.

I've been looking at the xv252qf and xl2540k since I do not want to touch backlight strobing. I've been reading all about xv252qf "Feels Slower" , This that and its making me crazy. Surely these are big improvements over my current monitor. But man what does "Feels slower" even mean. Is the ghosting that bad??? Anyone have some suggestions for my ass? tyty

...

I just wanted to be sure that I have a defective unit before returning it, but maybe it's a known bug and someone can help me find a solution, thanks!
Update: I've decided to return my XV252QF to Amazon since tests on other PCs confirmed the flickering problem @390Hz, so I'm pretty sure my monitor was defective, I just wanted to clarify this for potential buyers.

Performance was great however, and since it seems that the ViewSonic XG2431 is not an option for EU atm, I will probably order another XV252QF or go for a budget option like the SG2522HG.

Feels slower means the enemy move slower cause you are displaying more frames so each frame between the enemy’s movements is more compact therefore you see more of the enemies movements. That’s a good thing.

I would like to know what DisplayPort cable everyone is using. I have seen various reports of flickering that are sometimes resolved by swapping the cable. My monitor will be here in two days, and I just ordered the VESA-certified CLUB 3D 2 meter DP 1.4 HBR 3 cable.

Of course! If you are running a game with more than 240fps you will for sure notice it at 240hz, while at 390hz your monitor will display every frame. I mean, that is easily noticeable, but does it make you play better with all that blur fest? It does nothing for me on Quake, I track way worse as the images are not clear. And what about fast flicks? Total nightmare compared to a good and matured 240hz panel

With these models I feel like playing on an very low input lag responsive mouse, with no frame skipping at all

but...

coupled with "10 years ago" awful pixel response time levels.

Maybe the upcoming TN 0,5ms 360hz panels, releasing soon, will be faster. I guess.
I definitely appreciate striving for the best image clarity, but I think it's a little hyperbolic to say the Acer is making you "way worse" at games. Even pro players don't split hairs that much. The fact is both the Acer and the most matured TN panels have excellent pixel response times. That's not the say there isn't a difference in motion clarity between these monitors, it's just that the difference is simply not great enough to have any significant effect on in-game performance (beyond placebo/bias).

In my opinion: If you stare at the UFO test all day -- get the fastest 240 Hz TN. If you don't, the Acer is a better monitor by most metrics.
That's what you get from being a quake player.. every detail matters

No placebo dude, I am top 20 in Quake LG accuracy stats. I Track way worse with 360hz. The ghosting messes up your aim, no debate, no placebo.

You have several players complaining about the same thing, some even went back to their 240hz monitors so... I wouldnt call it placebo, you are not talking with a casual

Clarity/response time/tight image in movement

All more important than refresh rate.

My advice to Acer Nitro 390hz owners: NEVER ever try a matured top notch 240hz panel. You Will want to sell your Acer immediatly. If you are happy with it, dont bother.

Well it is official. After installing the latest AMD gpu drivers I lost the 390hz option.

Rolling back to the previous drivers didn't help and I do not know the exact timings/vales to use with CRU.

Did anyone have this problem? I guess everyone uses Nvidia :D

Are you using 2 monitors?. If so try unplugging your 2nd monitor, that works for me on AMD
Using only one, had to rollback to older drivers, the last WQHL ones... from August

This is the problem with AMD.. I am sure the next drivers Will break monitor overclocking again

Where’d you see that TN 360 Hz monitors were coming out soon?

Where did you download that driver? can you send me a link if possible? or give me version name. I want to see if that fixes my issue aswell

The only matured 240hz panel you can get in the EU is the AOC one. And if it’s that good as you say why is there no detailed reviews on it? And if you have it show us some pictures of the ufo tests. Or even better a video side by side comparing to the nitro.
