Competitive gaming monitor recommendation

Looking to upgrade from my Viewsonic XG2401 144hz.

I think my options at the moment are a 240hz with some kind of blur reduction vs 360hz without blur reduction. Looking at the BenQ XL2546K ($500) vs Alienware AW2521H ($680).

Notes:
1. I do get 360 fps in the games I play.
2. I've never used a monitor with blur reduction but I'm sensitive to monitors with PWM like the Asus VG248QE. However, I have used 100-144hz CRTs for over a decade without any issues and wish I could have a similar experience in my FPS games.
