Sir I’m on the look out for 2 monitors one for semi competitive Valorant and another larger monitors (maybe 27/32? 2K/4K? for battlefield 2042. I am currently building a computer with a 5900x and 3080ti. Would you say the ASUS VG259QM Is the best for valorant? from your sentence above it is “one of the cream of the crop”. I was wondering if thats the one you would choose personally for Valorant or is there another model you would choose over it? Same question for Battlefield on a larger screen. Thankyou in advance!
If you're playing for low latency, the VG259QM has had excellent scores on RTINGS already in most modes of operation.

For your 2nd monitor, there's other models that would be more appealing for solo game play and work purposes (wide-gammut 1440p IPS for example -- 165Hz and up. Or the new 4K 144Hz wide-gamut IPS)

There are excellent alternatives including BenQ XL2546 and the upcoming ViewSonic XG2431, but for something already on the market, the VG259QM is a very favourable monitor despite flaws in its ELMB-SYNC implementation.

Thankyou sir, I discovered your ViewSonic XG2431 Thread and I think I will wait for its release =) Your excitement for that in palpable! Did you by any chance have any recommendations in particular for 4k 27-32 inch screens for solo gameplay/work purposes mainly for Battlefield 2042, single player story games and trading on stockmarket with charts everywhere haha Happy to wait if its also not on the market yet. If not all good. My head hurts looking at all the options (I buy things once in a blue moon so I’m never up to date haha). Maybe from the same family with the viewsonic elite XG321UG thats about to be released

With 5900x and 3080ti, I think you might hold 360+ FPS in Valorant, in which case you might wanna look into 360 Hz monitors if you want the smoothest of experience.

pg259qnr
aw2521h
predator x25
Oculux NXG253R
PG248QP - XL2566K - XV252Q F - PG259QN - XL2546K - Y27gq-25 - AG251FZ - LaCie Electron 22 Blue IV

Woah thanks for giving me the heads up. I did a tonne of research since I had no idea about 360hz monitors hahaha

After intense review searching it really does seem like the AW2521h is the better option out of all the 360hz. apparently asus rushed it and x25 is worse?

will probably just get the AW in that case. Thanks!

Hi, sorry I know this is a fairly old post but I have to say that I absolutely do not understand some of the things said here.

Especially compared to one of the most horrible monitors I've had and which is the Asus VG259QM, clearly I can't agree!

To start, Bijan Jamshidi on Youtube is one of the only ones to have been honest with this, but the colorimetry on this IPS and on this Auo Optronics Fast-IPS 240hz panel is just terrible. (the same panel as in the Alienware AW2521HF/Dell S2522HG and other MSI/ACER 240hz etc) even with a thorough calibration, nothing correct comes out and the colors are clearly not natural, especially the green and the red...compared has a Zowie XL2546K, even the white was more pure white on the Zowie, weird (I had 4 VG259QM)

And also I don't agree when you talk about the response time and the feeling in games, maybe on paper the response time is "better", sure.

But in reality it's really not incredible....I don't know anyone in the esports world who has kept this screen because of the various problems they offer, an OSD worse than Zowie / the response time in game ( I'm talking about the in-game feeling, not on the "paper" tests) the Zowie clearly feels smoother, responsive and MUCH less blurry, it's only my feelings but many share this point of view (and I'm not talking about strobing mode but just overdrive high on zowie)

Everything is more pleasant, it's clearly obvious, or am I allergic to this Asus? in France this monitor is not bad buy by many players wanting to try the 240hz but the opinions are often negative.

Clearly for those who have had this Asus, really, how can you say it's good? for me it's just one of the worst i've had with the HP X 27 OMEN....i can't believe some people think it's excellent, i clearly can't play it properly.

I didn't have the VG258QM but when you look at the Rtings image you can clearly see that the letters of the Rtings logo are bigger and blurrier on the VG259QM compared to the VG258QM.

I understand that people want IPS, unfortunately the IPS 1080p 240hz have such mediocre colors...nothing to do with the 1440p Quantum Dots IPS in 240hz AUO Optronic found on the Acer XV272UX for example.

So for me if the colors aren't amazing (by the way I couldn't see well in the dark on the VG259QM compared to an XL2546k) and the motion blur isn't that amazing...I can't recommend IPS in 1080p 240hz in 2022, TN is still the best in terms of GtG motion blur (without strobing)

I'm sure the XL2566K will get a lot of people excited.

in conclusion for me IPS is only for 1440p now, the only 1080p 240hz 25inch which i found "good" is the ROG Strix XG259CM even if it's clearly not perfect for me personally.

anyway you have a lot of TN that is very good like the : XL2540K / XL2546K / VG258QM / XG258Q

Sorry, that wasn't a negative comment, I really wanted to state my opinion.
