Its a shame theres no software for this model.
ASUS DisplayWidget definitely doesn't support VG279QM (and VG259QM). I tried it already.

guys I don't know if this has already been discussed here, but the asus display widget works on the asus vg259qm, you can change the color presets, color temperature, brightness, contrast, saturation and some other things only in the softwere, I just couldn't get it the automatic preset mode according to the program you are running but it helps a lot. I managed to run it by downloading in this model in support / drivers and softweres: https://rog.asus.com/br/Monitors/Below- ... /helpdesk/
Works on my VG279QM

Yes work in my vg279qm
Very very thanks

Quick testing on VG259QM, did not test all possibilities but the most important seems to work, good tip!

Just checked other versions. When I open DisplayWidget I get the message monitor is not supported and can only exit the app.
Checked OSD and DDC/CI is greyed out (Display Data Channel / Command Interface is a type of communication between the computer and the monitor). I don't know how to enable it. Some googling suggests hardware incompatibility or graphics driver bug...?

Yes indeed DDC/CI needs to be ON, tried with off and got the same message as you, make sure when installing the app DDC/CI is ON.
BTW I use a Nvidia card. DisplayWidget version 4.0.67.0

Try to disable "adaptiveSync" in OSD, when I enable "adaptiveSync" DDC/CI is also grayed out in OSD

The link provided by "Lucasre5" worked for my VG279QM MC103. It just a little buggy, sometimes it shows incompatible display. Make sure to enable DDC/CI in OSD before running the software.

Disabling Adaptive-Sync enabled DDC/CI but I still have the same not supported message. That is interesting.

I am very happy with this version of DisplayWidget, before every time I wanted to play a game I had to mess around with the buttons behind the monitor to set my desired settings but now with a few clicks on the shortcuts of my keyboard I am done, this is so much easier.
It is a pity that Asus has not made this app specifically for the VG259/279 while it is certainly possible.
This version does not work without any problems and not all options are functional (most of them are) but for me the convenience of the shortcuts alone is worth it, definitely recommended.
