Asus vg279qm Help

Post by Warlockuy » 09 Jun 2021, 18:10

Hello
First of all thank you for accepting me.
Second, I use a translator :(.
The truth is impressive the data that is here in this forum.
Of course, not all of them are legible for everyone, you have to know and know.
I am new to this world of monitors.
I do not know if this question is going here or elsewhere, but in advance I apologize if it does not go here.
I have two monitors an xg258 and now a newcomer for an offer vg279qm
I only use them to play fps, Warzone.

I would like to know if you can help me to configure it, maybe I am very used to the tn and I do not find in it what makes me feel comfortable and confident that it is okay.
I saw several in the forum asking similar questions and with answers but I do not feel that I am satisfied with just that.
Clarification this is within the game, outside if the recommended setting is very good.
In Racing mode I see the colors of the game and the world very washed out, not very simple to see an enemy that is dark.
In fps it looks like more mmm bright colors but I notice something in the movement.
I leave my settings

FPS:
Overdrive 60
Brightness: 40
Contrast: 80
Color: 98, 99, 96

Racing
Overdrive 60
Brightness: 10
Contrast: 80
Color: 98, 99, 96

I also have a strange sensation in my eyes, I do not have an explanation for this but it does not happen to me in TN and I see everything very clearly.
Will I just get used to it? or can I have something wrong configured?
I use it for 120 fps which varies between 120 140.

Thanks

I have it the same way; Racing mode for desktop and casual gaming, FPS mode for competitive gaming only, R98/G99/B96 or 94. OD 80 for 200-280Hz, OD 60/40 for <200Hz. ELMB or ELMB-SYNC is good only for ~200+Hz gaming.
Racing mode is the correct one and most accurate preset, others are tuned for different scenarios. FPS mode color are oversaturated, and black levels are brighter. Some people might prefer it for competitive gaming since its easier to spot targets.
I don't know much about eyestrain but I did experience it on my previous AW2518HF 240Hz TN but VG279QM IPS was much better, still present but a lot less. Try using it on lower refresh rates like 100Hz for a few days and see if there is any difference. Im not sure if you can do anything about it. Maybe your eyes get used to it over time.

Discorz very very thanks
Please tell me ascr? On or off?
Can you save a custom setup with gameplus? Example a red dot on the screen?
Every time I go, I must put it again, it doesn't happen to me in the other Asus xg258
Very very thanks
💪💪

I have all other settings on default, that means ASCR off 100%.
Customized setings/presets are available but it doesn't save GamePlus features.
You can set GamePlus shortcut to a button then it takes 4 clicks to enable crosshair.

ASUS DisplayWidget definitely doesn't support VG279QM (and VG259QM). I tried it already.

guys I don't know if this has already been discussed here, but the asus display widget works on the asus vg259qm, you can change the color presets, color temperature, brightness, contrast, saturation and some other things only in the softwere, I just couldn't get it the automatic preset mode according to the program you are running but it helps a lot. I managed to run it by downloading in this model in support / drivers and softweres: https://rog.asus.com/br/Monitors/Below- ... /helpdesk/
Works on my VG279QM

How did that happen? It is not officially supported. I downloaded it anyway from other monitors site and it did not work. Probably different versions.
