Holy s*! That is crisp AF. 8-) No artifacts whatsoever.
Is that strobing or vrr strobing?

that was fixed strobing. at a more normal duty cycle 20% you start to get some very light ghosting but its hard to even notice.

vrr fixed fps strobing can be similar.
but vrr with variable fps strobe quality changes depending on a ton of things. it's much harder.

Ok, if what you say is true for the camera shutter on the phone then I might have to re-do all of my photos. 1/250 might be too fast but honestly I used it to show the level of overshoot rather than motion clarity to show that OD 0C is the best for VRR.

So the backlight strobing is ONLY active above 80 hz it seems so my 60 fps photos are useless, that's just panel performance without any strobing whatsoever. I found inverse ghosting coronas disappear for 60 fps with OD 05 (almost OD off practically). Apparently for some reason, frame rate compensation sometimes kicks in at 60 hz (maybe I have from frame studder? ) and it causes the fps to jump to 120 hz which is when the elmb sync becomes active. I restarted my pc today and I seem to have more consistent fps ( I re-attached my nv link so maybe that had something to do with it).

Yes my first set of photos are blurry from the camera, couldn't get it to focus but for some reason it can focus when I set the camera to 1/250. I might re-do these frog tests later today and get back to you. So if I'm testing at 60 fps, does that mean camera shutter should be at 1/15?

By softer image I mean I feel like there's some light crosstalk that makes images doubled so the edges of objects look "softer" if that makes sense. I'll try to post a picture later, I mostly see this when I pan around league of legends.

No need to re-do them all.

Last 60Hz picture must be strobing, because without strobing it should looks like this.
Can you please confirm if the refresh rate really doubles? Use "GamePlus > FPS Counter" in monitor osd. Just quick test with fps slider in frog pursuit. My VG279QM doubles at 50Hz and it only improves overshoot not motion clarity.

For 60Hz is 1/15 yes. If your camera doesn't have the exact shutter option use one step longer not shorter (e.g. 144/4=36, use 30 instead).
But If u do plan to do more photos can you use OD 05 for @60Hz ELMB-SYNC to remove that small overshoot.

Using 1/15 on my phone results in blurry picture like it doesn't want to focus. I can say that the fps doesn't double unless it's below 48 fps (I capped using riva) and there's no strobing unless you use the 85 fps option or higher in the frog test. 60 fps does look blurry to my eye (worse than the G7) but scrolling with the 1/250 camera setting I can see no inverse ghosting coronas anymore. I'll try to upload a picture tomorrow of the 60 hz, today I'm burnt out XD

I'm pretty sure all gsync-comp monitors using nvidia gpu's will multi-frame randomly EVEN with vrr-strobing modes active. so you will get super inconsistent results at even over 100fps. because those vrr strobing monitors will just strobe each refreshcycle. in 60fps content sometimes a game will do 60hz for awhile and then switch to 120hz and never return until it's restarted.

only 2 ways to stop LFC from taking over.

1. making a custom resolution at a hz that is lower then double your min content framerate. ideally should be a increased VT mode that matches your maxhz horizontal scanrate exactly.

2. in cru remove range limits in display properties. this disables LFC completely WARNING your monitor will blank out if framerates go lower then your monitor can handle. random things can cause blankouts like loading screens and framespikes don't recommend you touch this.

you could try messing with your min ratelimit in cru but in my experience it will not prevent it. since loading screens and framespikes will still trigger it no matter how low you set it.

Hey, I recommend everyone who has an rtings subscription (they have a paid sub for votes and early access to monitor testing) vote for this monitor to get tested. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/suggestions

Asus was so close to having a perfect monitor here!

Acer did it earlier) I have xv272ux, with the same panel) Really surprized with this TN clarity and IPS colors and low input lag. (I had many 240hz panels before)

Yea but I feel like asus has the more well refined settings vs the acer one.
