New gpu, windows show 239,760hz

Post by lucfer83 » 29 Jul 2021, 09:27

Just do a fresh install of my desktop:
amd 5600x
gpu asus gtx 1060 turbo 6GB
benq xl2746s

Just asking me why Windows 10 show me 239,760hz and not 240.

Valorant and Nvidia Control panel show me 240hz.

My previous card was an R9 270X and never see that strange 239,760hz with same monitor.

Thx in advance :)

This is perfectly normal. Refresh rates are almost never exact integer values. 120Hz for example is usually 119.8, 60Hz is often 59.94, etc. Usually the driver or the OS tries to round the displayed value up or down. Sometimes however it doesn't. Not sure why and when this happens, but the bottom line is that there's nothing wrong with the refresh rate itself.
