Hey, recently bought a 8000hz mouse, was thinking what dpi to use with 4000hz or 8000hz, because i was so used with 2000dpi and 1000hz at one game but 4000hz and 8000hz changes alot, pluss lags, what dpi is suggested using so high polling rate, should i get used to it or stay at 1000hz, any suggestions
please and thank you

Which game? Some games are high-poll-Hz friendly, while others are not.

Re: 8k mouse
current game is fortnite, trying 4000hz and 8000hz, but yet not found a comftrable dpi, and i feel mouse does not shoot at times and builds not placing, even thought it plays, i will still keep testing, but first days are quite hard to get used to it, maybe have to return back to 1000hz, where was not those weird lags,
but regardless if anyone owns 4000hz and 8000hz polling rate mouses, what dpi would or you could use with it just out of curiosity.
Thank you

Re: 8k mouse
I have the Razer Viper 8K. For me, 8K Hz has worked flawlessly in every game I have tried it in other than Valorant and Rust (stutters and FPS drops), but it’s actually not bad enough for me to lower it from 8K Hz. So it works perfectly for me on Fortnite, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Aim Lab, Kovaak, Rocket League, and GTA V. It also will depend on how well optimized your system is, your CPU, your RAM, how high of an overclock you have, which USB bus it’s running on, and what/how many USB devices are connected. Personally, I’m extremely happy with my Viper 8K at 8000 Hz and 1600 DPI. The combination of the Focus+ sensor and the high polling rate definitely makes it the fastest mouse I’ve ever used.

I have a 240hz monitor but for the most part never reach the max framerate. Should I be running my keyboard and mouse at 8khz or lower to 1khz. I can get 120 FPS for the most part.

I would run at 8K unless you notice issues. What CPU do you have? Why can you only reach 120 FPS?DarkMartyr420 wrote: ↑01 Sep 2021, 14:20I have a 240hz monitor but for the most part never reach the max framerate. I have a 8700k and a 2070 Super. So for the most part I get around 120fps some games way more but overall 120fps I can maintain.

Re: 8k mouse
I only really have issues with the higher polling rate on Rust and Valorant. I will be trying to manually assign core affinities to the mouse driver soon, so I will report back. Anyway, I would recommend running at 8K Hz and using Synapse to change it to 2K Hz or 4K Hz if you have issues. However, BE SURE to close Synapse when done and to save the setting to the mouse's hardware itself. After Synapse is fully closed, go to your services and terminate all of its running processes. Make sure it is not enabled on startup.DarkMartyr420 wrote: ↑21 Sep 2021, 17:15I have a 8700k and a 2070 Super.
