Lagging on Apex Legends ACER KG251Q

Hi!

So my current setup is: MONITOR - ACER KG251Q, CPU - 5800X, GPU - RTX 3080, 16GB of ram cl 16. The problem is that when I am playing, even if my frames are always at 143-144, the game feels laggy, like i am play at a much lower frame rate, what could it be? My monitor has only FreeSync, could that be the problem? Should I go for the Alienware AW2521H which has G-Sync compatible in order to fix this?

Thank you.

If you use vsync (regardless of whether g-sync is also enabled or not,) then that's normal. If your monitor is not g-sync compatible, then you either need to disable vsync and live with the tearing, or do a low latency FPS cap. See:

and this for more info:

If your monitor is g-sync compatible, then you should just cap FPS to 140FPS when using 144Hz, using the game's own limiter. If the game doesn't have an FPS limiter, then either use RTSS, or set the "max framerate" option in the game's profile in the nvidia panel to "140".

See my thread viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8620&p=67129#p67129
Did extensive testing on this issue and it's just the game engine being broken
tested on 2 of my own pc + a cloud pc, can't possible be on my end.
Seems like nobody notices this but it's incredible annoying if you do. I've seen a person spam my guru3d thread about this on the apex legends subreddit, lol.
