zowie xl2540k or acer XV252QF

Post by Yeahdud » 25 Sep 2021, 21:35

I've been looking to get a new monitor and saying goodbye to my xl2430t.

I do not care about any backlight strobing. I do reach +390fps in my preferred games, CS etc.

I've been reading about "Bad latency" etc for the acer one with no real reference, how's the ghosting like?. Some people keep referring to the zowie/benq monitors. Would there be a latency difference between these two? Monitors used at the VCT berlin etc were the AW2521H which I've seen people dislike , so any of these monitors could be used to perform at your best anyway. Well, the more I write, the more I'm leaning towards getting the XV, just all the latency things people talk about catch me off guard. If someone could help me out here, much love.

I. Cant. Choose.

I have the Acer XV252QF. I don’t know what you mean by the latency. The two reviews I have seen have shown lower latency than the previous fastest known monitor (the Alienware 360 Hz), and from my personal experience it definitely has extremely low latency. With my Viper 8K Hz, it feels as though the actions are happening right as I move my hand. As for ghosting, I’ll have to get back to you on that. I need to compare it side by side with my AW2518H 240 Hz TN panel. I would have loved a monitor that was this fast as TN. I personally like TN more than IPS. Everyone always talks about the better viewing angles, colors, etc. of IPS. I don’t really notice them or care at all. If anything, the IPS glow bothers me more than any of the “downsides” of TN panels.

it's very simple. they made it fast ips, it's a hybrid, of ips and tn characteristics and technical knowhow.. I feel bad for people who never digest premium tv content as there are so much these days, more and more in hdr format only at the highest bitrate. pretty sure u get better hdr with ips than tn, if tn even support it.

And I don't understand none streaming gamers who need 2 monitors, lol. it's not like we are cosplaying sombra or anything

I have Acer XV252QF. I also have AW2518H and AW2518HF. I dont have benq and I never seen how that benq performs.
To say that Acer is better then those two Alienware in terms of performance, ghosting, picture quality, speed is to say nothing.
I don't know what lag you are talking about exactly about but I play Quale Champions (not a PRO) and people told me that I was shooting behind the walls when on my screen I picked, clearly saw the person and railed him. It was never happening on Aleinware.
To be honest I wont probably use this monitor as my main despite the speed and picture quality.
I've ordered XV272UX it is the same panel and calibrated the same as famous Predator but it is just 200$ cheaper over here plus supports freesync and g-sync. I feel like fullHD is the past and I want to move on to 2k gaming already.
good luck.

I have xl2430t, i had xl2420tx 3D , and i got rid of it on ebay , thought xl2430t is the future, but then they dropped 240hz bomb, and i gave up swapping around, until today, i finally want to get rid of xl2430t , it never had a dead pixel in last 7 years, used it heavily daily for FPS games and rpg/rts , but the ghosting is just bad, so distracting , if you are just mid level competitive gamer , you might get along , but i want that clear image, especially in competitive FPS games , so replying to Yeahdud, in your place I would just pick 3 best monitors from 3 companies (1 from each) and after lots of research online just stick with the one you think suits you (MSI ASUS or BENQ) . This is how i am finalizing my pick over 2430t right now
