I currently use an Asus VG259QM. Which is great for Call of Duty and fast paced competitive games. However I started getting into some games like Red Dead 2 and really interested in New World MMO which everyone says looks great. I would like to get something a little bigger with 1440p to take advantage of these games.
My setup is in the basement so it can be blacked out or I have multiple Hue lights to control. I saw alot of reviews mention IPS panels aren't great in dark? I wouldn't mind play COD, etc on the bigger 1440p monitor if the refresh rates are close to the Asus I have. I would move the Asus as my second monitor.
Any suggestions, thoughts? Thanks!

I have just moved from a 1080p TN to the LG 27GL850 b.

Fabulous monitor.

The black think will be noticed on a loading screen with a black bavkground but it is not much of a problem during gameplay.
