Ahah that make me more confused.. only ine question, when we talk about omen x25, is with or without strobing? I read that it stuck hz to 144IIISLIDEIII wrote: ↑21 Nov 2021, 06:31I'm comparing exactly the 3 monitors you mentioned.Merk91 wrote: ↑21 Nov 2021, 04:09I usually play cod multiplayer (sometimes warzone) and valorant. I cannot decide between 2546k and xv252qf, or maybe omen x25 gsync (without strobing because i need max hz possible). I have Ryzen 7 5800x, rtx3090 32gb 3600 all in custom loop... can someone help me in che choise?
Omen is the one with the best response time, excellent input lag and good colors, overall the most balanced of the 3.
Acer is ips therefore more real colors than the others (even if you do not have to expect the extraordinary colors of LG's nanoips panels, here we are on a lower level), it is also the one with the lowest input lag, it is perceived at the the instant you are more reactive and faster than the others, moreover the 390hz helps to reduce tearing almost completely (even when you are on warzone and you only do 200fps), you never see breaks on the screen, it almost seems to have gsync active even if not there 'ho is .... but .... it has a slower response time than Omen so in fast movements in the background you see a bit of blur that is almost absent on Omen, we are not talking about a huge difference but a bit yes Note.
The benq is a hybrid, it has a much wider range of color adjustments than the others without being forced to use external software to do it, it has a sharpness control that the others do not have.
The dyac allows you to have less blur than all without losing brightness but it has limitations, you always have to be stuck at 240fps otherwise it gets jerky and even if you are stuck at 240 it still has vertical micro-cuts that can be annoying.
Without dyac it has a good response time, not like Omen but not very far, from ufo test it has a slight overshot but in game it is not noticeable (at least in my specimen), it has a slightly higher input lag than the others but nothing of so dramatic, we are talking about very subtle things.
The choice is yours .

In my opinion, this is a walking pixel. I saw this at both 2540k and 2546k and it really kills all the smoothness in these monitors. I do not like this. without strobing, omen doesn't need strobing, it has a natural response time which is impressive, is one of the monitors with the lowest response time on the market (without strobing), the only monitor to have scored 10 on the response time in the reviews of rtings.
In summary, without strobing:
Omen
response time 10
input lag 8
Acer
response time 7
input lag 10
Benq
response time 8
input lag 7

vertical cuts are present only with active dyac, without dyac the monitor has no problems.antiblur wrote: ↑21 Nov 2021, 07:53In my opinion, this is a walking pixel. Omen has no cuts, but I'm also talking for him about use without strobing.
The acer is the only one that has fewer cuts with active strobing, but for me it is not very bright with strobing.

In my case, there is no difference between the included dуaс and without. More precisely, without it, they are less pronounced, but they are. Since the 2540k has the same panel, I saw this tm as well. There are versions 2546k and 2540k on another panel, perhaps this effect is missing there, but I did not feel it live. Also, if you start the video on your phone, you can see strobing on the camera. On my copy, it shows that the strobing is in vertical stripes, while for many reviewers at 2546k, the strobing is in horizontal stripes. I think different matrices are set up differently.IIISLIDEIII wrote: ↑21 Nov 2021, 08:03

Perhaps the omen would be the best choice for a person who does not want to use a stroboscope. I would take it if it was available. In games, visually, I could not detect the difference between enabled and disabled strobing, although it is obvious in the UFO test.

In my benq the difference between dyac on and off is day and night, with dyac there are vertical micro-cuts, without dyac everything is fluid just like on omen.antiblur wrote: ↑21 Nov 2021, 08:20In my case, there is no difference between the included dуaс and without. Strobing makes a big difference if basically the monitor has bad response times but this is not the case, so actually not even I notice big changes in the game with dyac off and on, ufo test shows an exaggerated gap but in game it is not so perceptible.
In the end I think I understand that strobing is a very interesting technology but it's not for me, I rate monitors for how natural they go, without strobing.
Omen is the best choice if response time is top priority for you, but if you care about the least possible input lag and are willing to accept a minimum of blur Acer is the choice.
Benq has a wide range of image adjustment on blacks and colors that do not have acer and omen, visibility matters a lot in a shooter, it is not an aspect to be underestimated
I haven't chosen yet ..... lol

gsync adds latency? how big a problem is it? Ultimately for competitive fps without strobe, which do you recommend more than 2546k or omen 25?IIISLIDEIII wrote: ↑16 Nov 2021, 15:16
Another problem that Hp omen has is tearing, it is the one with the most tearing of all and I don't understand why, it must be used with gsync active otherwise it is quite annoying but unfortunately I don't like gsync, I feel slower in my movements and less responsive every time I try gsync

So for me the final question is.. playng cod multiplayer with 300+ fps and warzone on 200/240 floating fps, which one between x25 gsync (without strobing) and xv252qv (with strobing) give me the maximum clarity and advantage?

i forgot to update that comment, i had that tearing for nvidia driver issue, the monitor has no problem.antiblur wrote: ↑21 Nov 2021, 09:11gsync adds latency? how big a problem is it? Gsync adds subtle latency to all monitors based on what the measurements say, so subtle that it shouldn't be perceptible ..... basically every time I've used gsync on any monitor I've had (both with and without module ) I have always clearly perceived a lower immediacy on the mouse compared to gsync off, I would say less snappy, so gsync, together with strobing, also enters on the list of those interesting technologies, but which I do not use for competitive fps
Between xl2546k and Omen x25 I recommend Omen without any doubt, the only thing you need to know is that if you need to saturate the colors a lot it doesn't have a color vibrance, so you will have to do it through the video drivers
Be careful to model, I have omen x25, not x25f

Acer with strobing on extreme has "almost" the clarity that Omen has without strobing, if you can play with 230 nits (with active strobing acer has those nits) buy the Acer because it has less input lag.
For me with 230 nits it is impossible to be competitive, especially on warzone which is a dark game, but these are my eyes, not yours, for many 230 nits is more than enough.
