I measured XV252QF brightness 245cmd2 (xrite i1display) with VBR on extreme while doing calibration. I don't fully understand how this could be considered too dim? Should be fine even in relatively bright room, given you'd close the curtains and whatnot. It can certainly take some adjusting if one has been using overly bright monitor for longer periods just before, but after a while should feel normal - even quite optimal for normal SDR viewing.

But at the same time factory calibration on this monitor did have some very strange near black detail almost crushing (not quite) - which made distinguishing certain details harder than it should be, especially in the dark scenes. This was straightened out by calibration. I found this strange because so many reviews stated the colours would be spot on out of the box - even the "srgb" space then had the opposite problem of a bit too lifted blacks (too bright). Which was weird.

Still a bit indecisive whether this VBR is actually worthwhile though. I feel eyes actually do get quite fatigued if I have it on extreme but I do enjoy the extra clarity it can give on certain movements.

IIISLIDEIII, which panel is your 2546k? This can be found in the service menu. To enter it, you need to turn off the monitor and turn it on while keeping the joystick pressed.
after I look at it.
Why do you ask me that ? are there any differences based on production?
may be... idk

apparently I am the only one who sees the dark screen with the vbr extreme mode, it is likely that over the years I have unintentionally got used to keeping high the brightness of my monitors

I think 2k is the perfect resolution today to play and have feast for the eyes, especially if you want to play a bit of everything, certainly better than full hd.

The "problem" I have with 2k when I go to use them on a shooter, is not so much the response times or the input lag, but the dimensions, for me 27 is really gigantic, I have to move it to the back of my desk and I would like to move it away again but I have no more space, this is the only limit for me.
If they did a 24 inch 2k I would switch to that immediately.
I agree as I play CS GO using 4:3 with black bars and it's cool with 27, but with full display it will be hard to concentrate in competetive titles.

I usually play cod multiplayer (sometimes warzone) and valorant. I cannot decide between 2546k and xv252qf, or maybe omen x25 gsync (without strobing because i need max hz possible). I have Ryzen 7 5800x, rtx3090 32gb 3600 all in custom loop... can someone help me in che choise?

As with everyone else who has asked, you'll probably get conflicting answers from many of us. However, if you want the lowest latency/input lag, there's no getting around the fact that the XV252QF is the fastest monitor out.

Basically...

Dyac: Zowie 2546k

Highest Hz/lowest latency/best colors: Acer XV252QF

Fastest response time: HP X 25
i9 9900k | RTX 2080 Ti | 32 GB 4x8GB B-Die 3600 MT/s CL16 | XV252QF 390 Hz 1080p | AW2518H 240 Hz 1080p | PG279Q 144 Hz 1440p

Razer Viper 8K | Artisan Zero Mid XL | Apex Pro TKL | 1 gbps FiOS (Fiber)

I never use monitor with dyac or storbing. Im not a pro player but i love to tryhard when i play.. on multi i can get 300+ fps and in warzone around 200.. also ready that if i cant get stable 240fps the dyac is useless, and in warzone i never get 240fps.. i read that you play very competitive cod, so in your opinion is better fastest response, dyac or simply the acer?
Also read that the 360hz+ monitor have lot of trace, is so marked?

I'm comparing exactly the 3 monitors you mentioned.

Omen is the one with the best response time, excellent input lag and good colors, overall the most balanced of the 3.
Acer is ips therefore more real colors than the others (even if you do not have to expect the extraordinary colors of LG's nanoips panels, here we are on a lower level), it is also the one with the lowest input lag, it is perceived at the the instant you are more reactive and faster than the others, moreover the 390hz helps to reduce tearing almost completely (even when you are on warzone and you only do 200fps), you never see breaks on the screen, it almost seems to have gsync active even if not there 'ho is .... but .... it has a slower response time than Omen so in fast movements in the background you see a bit of blur that is almost absent on Omen, we are not talking about a huge difference but a bit yes Note.

The benq is a hybrid, it has a much wider range of color adjustments than the others without being forced to use external software to do it, it has a sharpness control that the others do not have.
The dyac allows you to have less blur than all without losing brightness but it has limitations, you always have to be stuck at 240fps otherwise it gets jerky and even if you are stuck at 240 it still has vertical micro-cuts that can be annoying.
Without dyac it has a good response time, not like Omen but not very far, from ufo test it has a slight overshot but in game it is not noticeable (at least in my specimen), it has a slightly higher input lag than the others but nothing of so dramatic, we are talking about very subtle things.

The choice is yours .
