It could be worth it to wait for new monitors to come out that will provide you with a more substantial upgrade for the price. I think there’s a 1440p 300 Hz monitor coming out soon.masterblaster wrote: ↑29 Nov 2021, 14:18Ya right now the I see it from a 3rd party for $599 on amazon and Bhphotovideo has it for $630 I think it was. Comparing that to the dell S2721DGF IPS that I got for $330 which is low input lag and 165hz. I just dont see the extra $300 there being spent wisely to go to a TN panel just for 240hz.lizardpeter wrote: ↑29 Nov 2021, 13:58Ah, I didn’t know the X 27 was so expensive now. My friend literally got it for under $450 on Black Friday a few months after its release a couple of years ago.masterblaster wrote: ↑29 Nov 2021, 12:42I dont have anywhere close to 240 fps at 1440p though. I have been looking at if I wanted to spend the money for the HP Omen X27 vs the dell I got. Its like $630 versus $330. Pretty big price difference there just for the benefit of like maybe slightly faster response times and 240hz vs 165hz and going to a TN panel. Everyone keeps recommending it so maybe I should try it. Nobody with a good return policy has the X27 in stock at the moment though.
I am only on a 5600x and RTX 3070 so... I do have like 300-500 ish fps on older games but...BF1 and BF5 at 1440p is like 110-150 fps.
Yeah. I saw Acer is releasing a 300hz 1440p soon. Probably others too but....did you look at the price tag on it? They stated its a $1099 monitor.... Theres no way a 300hz 1440p is significantly better than a 240hz lol. I dunno.. Id rather go for the 240hz at that point.
Ill pass. Not worth.
