So, I am having a dilemma here. For the longest time, I have always gamed at 1080p or lower actually. I only have an RTX 3070, so I don't have crazy fps, but its usually around 130-300 fps depending on the game. So recently thought it would be cool to try a 27" 1440p monitor and I was kind of liking the clarity, but I am normally all about the fps.
Anyways. I purchased a few different 27" 1440p monitors to test the feel of it but I need some recommendations for top tier 27" 1440p monitors for gaming with fast response, low input lag at least 144hz or more.
What are the top models to consider? I just don't follow 27" 1440p monitors at all.
Thanks!

HP X 27 is also very good. It has very fast response times and super low latency. It’s a somewhat newer TN panel.

Ya thanks. Not sure I want a TN panel in 2021 but, is HP X27 240hz or 165hz? Theres one on bestbuy which has model number X27 but its 165hz and its only $245 or so.lizardpeter wrote: ↑20 Nov 2021, 02:38HP X 27 is also very good. Thanks for the help and recommendations. After reading some reviews and watching some quick vids...
The top tier 1440p bang4buck monitors seems to be the dell S2721DGF. So this is kind of what I have picked at the moment. And its only $330 right now on sale.

I didn’t realize you were talking about budget options. When you said “best” monitors, I was thinking more along the lines of the best performing ones. That Dell is not a bad option for a 144 Hz screen, but it’s a far cry from the top 240 Hz and 270 Hz 1440p panels.masterblaster wrote: ↑24 Nov 2021, 22:03Thanks for the help and recommendations. Is it? Why? Well, im not necessarily looking for "budget" options, but what does a 240hz 1440p give over the S72721DGF? 165hz to 240hz isnt that much of a difference. If one monitor costs $800 and the other monitor costs $330, obviously if theres not that much benefit I would pick the $330 monitor. And no, I am not looking to spend $800+ for a gaming monitor. Maybe $500 or less.lizardpeter wrote: ↑25 Nov 2021, 05:20I didn’t realize you were talking about budget options. What models are significantly better than the dell S2721DGF? The ones you listed previously I guess? Ill check them out. I see that G7 is only $500, ive just never really considered any curved monitors.

I have 60 Hz, 144 Hz, 240 Hz, and 390 Hz monitors. I’d say there’s a pretty big difference between all of them.masterblaster wrote: ↑25 Nov 2021, 10:43Is it? Why? Personally, I’d recommend the HP Omen X 27 if the 1440p 270 Hz options are too expensive. I don’t know that much about the G7. The Dell certainly is good for the price, however. I just find it hard to recommend brand new monitors under 240 Hz (other than maybe LG C1) going into 2022 when there are so many options.
