Viewsonic 2431 Pure XP + Freesync Premium?

Post by neomaxi23 » 29 Nov 2021, 09:33

I have looked in all the forums.. I Have this one question.

If i Buy the viewsonic 2431, can I use Freesync and PureXP motion blur at same time?

Also, can I do this all the way up to 240 hz?

Thanks@!

XG2431 does not currently support variable-rate strobing, so you can only choose PureXP or FreeSync Premium.

Keep in mind.., Right now there’s no really good jack-of-all-trades strobing. You can get better fixed Hz strobing or you can get VRR strobing today.

I know you can’t make any specific promises for future support, but to your knowledge are there any hardware limitations with the XG2431 that would prevent a vrr-strobe mode from being added via firmware? Or said another way, are you aware of any additional hardware requirements for vrr strobing vs fixed refresh rate? I’m sure the development effort isn’t small and I wouldn’t expect it to be added to an existing product but it’s definitely a feature I’m now interested in
