I saw so many different answers about how to make 30 FPS on PC smooth like it is in console, but don't know what to actually apply. Can someone please tell me correct how can i make 30 fps smooth on my laptop. My screen is 60.030HZ ( that is what i am getting on my advance display information ). Thank you šŸ™

You want to use the 1/2 VSYNC setting. Or a microsecond-accurate framerate capping utility such as RTSS.

For 1/2 VSYNC, it's easiest to use NVIDIA Profile Inspector, configure to 1/2 refresh rate in the VSYNC. Use NVIDIA Ultra Low Latency Mode ON or Ultra, when doing 1/2 VSYNC.

Do i need to use 1/2 Sync with RTSS ? And what fps should i set in RTSS if my screen is 60.030HZ ?

I just saw one of your older answers ( not long ago ). U said something about locking in rtss half of our HZ and then use fast sync ( from nvidia control panel ) ??

If you use NVInspector 1/2 VSYNC you do not need to use RTSS. (Don't use Fast Sync with this method)

If you use RTSS you do not need to use NVInspector 1/2 VSYNC. (It's OK to use Fast Sync with this method)

Just pick one. Or try both, one after the other.

How should i then adjust my FPS Cap with RTSS ? My screen is 60.030HZ ? I read somewhere that u said something about dividing it with 2 and then subtract it with 0.010 ? can you explain this please...

And if i use RTSS why should i use Fast V sync ( enable it with NVCP ) and not normal in game v sync ? Do you mind explaining it ? I cant google anything about it i just dont find any usefull info :)

It's optional. You can just use VSYNC ON with RTSS cap.

And yes, exactly half your Hz reported at www.testufo.com/refreshrate (not the Hz reported by Control Panel). The TestUFO refresh rate test is more accurate relative to your CPU clock, which is used by RTSS. If you're off by 0.05 that's okay, that's still 1 tiny stutter every many seconds.

Just begin testing -- and ask more questions later. If you are having problems with either, describe the issue.

It says my HZ is 60.030 like i said...So i need to put 30.015 in my RTSS Fps limiter ? You didn't answer my question...Why did u tell me that it is okay to use Fast VSync with RTSS. What is the different betwen fast and normal vsync when i use it with 30 fps cap ? And like u said, when i cap my fps with RTSS do i need as well to use Low Latency mode ( on or Ultra ) ? And do you know anything about if i should use triple buffering as well from nvidia control panel for that game that i want to cap fps to 30. And i saw someone suggesting setting maximum prerendered framer in nVinspector to 4 and capping fps to 33 or 35 ? Any info on this please ?

Chief has given you all of the necessary information. But, and this is my opinion so take it however you want to, I feel as though it's a foolish endeavor to chase a "smooth" 30 FPS. What games are you playing that run at 30 FPS? You will also be sacrificing even more input latency than the abysmal 33.3 ms between frames if you're going with many sync options.
