I also have the x 25 and can do some tests if needed
I tried few gaming monitors and always went back to the x 25 as it feels the best for me
Does your instance have pixel inversion (walking pixel)? It looks like vertical rows of pixels, or very thin black bands that form vertical rows of pixels when moving the camera horizontally or in animations. I see it clearly, for example in this test: https://www.testufo.com/photo#photo=que ... ttersize=0

did a little research for the panels. I think that (AU Optronics M250HTN01.9) is the last TN you can currently buy.

GIGABYTE AORUS KD25F AU Optronics M250HTN01.9 2019
Acer Nitro XF2 XF252 AU Optronics M250HTN01.9 2019
HP Omen X 25 2019
Ozone DSP24 240 2020
Itek GGF 288hz TN 2021
2540K AU Optronics M250HTN01.8
XL2546k M250HTN01.8 Q250HTN00-A200
XL2546 M250HTN01.8 Q250HTN00
Small correction. The 2540k and 2546k use an 18 panel rather than a 1.8 panel. I also thought that 1.8, but revision 18 is indicated in the service menu, not 1.8! So the benq panel is newer than 1.9. And my 2540k and 2546k panels were completely identical, they were identically labeled in the service menu, there were no additional marks that would distinguish them.

2546 and 2546k use different panels according to the manufacturer. The 2546k uses a panel with fast crystals, the 2546 does not. So it's not 1.8. This is also proved by the real difference in the speed of these monitors, which is observed by the players.

1.8 could be 18 steps too? What is the complete panel name?

I really don't know how correct this information is. In the service menu, the model was indicated without a dot. But maybe it's 1.8, not 18. Logic tells me otherwise, but a Google search returns only 1.8. So either it's 18 or the incorrectly labeled 1.8 (name is M250HTN018).

After lurking this site for a year i've gone through:

XV252QF - way too much ghosting @390Hz (maybe lower Hz large VT MBR would look nice, didnt try tho).
VG279QM - too big, otherwise i liked it on 280hz@OD120.
XG249CM - was hoping this one would be endgame, but still too much ghosting/ no OD gain in service menu.
VG258QM - too much overshoot on almost all OD's, iirc/ felt input laggy.
OMENX25 - better than xl2540k unstrobed/ don't like the stand and OSD.
XL2540K - AMA overshoots, OD gain 10 helps, still worse than X25.

I'm unsatisfied, have XV252QZ and VG259QM coming tomorrow. I want to switch to IPS if a screen can deliver..
Worth trying MAG251RX if these two don't cut it?
That Itek GGF 288hz looks interesting, but can't find infos/vids/ufos.. Or i have to get another VG258QM and refresh my memory..

But hey, in the meantime xl2540k can do this, lol: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENHbbeslYzM
Is Benq milking 200€ from hiding DyAc in 40ks OSD oO
VG259QM the GOAT

This is an easy one:

Ozone DSP24 240hz TN

or

Itek GGF 288hz TN

After CRTs or Oled, these are the fastest tryhard monitors money can buy currently. Forget about Zowie or other more popular brands. I tried dozens of monitors, more than what you can imagine. No LCD monitor comes close to these two, response time wise. I know they are "underground brands", but they work. And are cheap aswell.

Have fun!

I will say there is some ghosting on the XV252QF. However, putting it side by side with my TN 240 Hz monitor, it definitely has the lowest latency and comparable motion clarity (better if if you actually reach 390 FPS). It certainly hasn’t held me back. While it would be ideal to have something like an OLED with 390 Hz or 480 Hz, I do think the XV252QF is the best competitive gaming monitor out right now, and I do not use any backlight strobing.

I do hope these new QD-OLED panels will reach refresh rates higher than the 175 Hz model that was announced and will come in flat panels at 24”-27”. I would pay an insane amount of money for a 24.5” 1080p 480 Hz QD-OLED. I’d even settle on a 27” 1440p 480 Hz QD-OLED monitor too.

the XV252QF has the lowest input lag, we know that. Here in Germany you currently pay 560 euros for the XV252QF. TN currently has some advantages over ips, if you look around carefully you can get TNs 200 euros cheaper than the XV252QF. Everyone has to decide for themselves.

I didn't get an answer to that either, and I couldn't find anything about it myself. I'm assuming both have the AU Optronics M250HTN01.9 panel. I also don't know how Itek gets the GGF on 288hz ;D.

Notty has quoted the dsp few times before but no claim to back it off - don’t expect much from him. If someone can try to find the exact panel those two are using(credible source) and if it’s same as omen x25. That’ll probably bring us a step closer. However even then, the overdrive can still effect it.
