Hello guys, im having truble/bug with my new monitor. I set my monitor to 280hz when i get it but now sometimes when i start csgo my monitor will change to 144hz and it stays like that when i turn csgo off. Its only game where its happening. Btw im running csgo on 800x600 stretched. Ive had problem similiar to this in league of legends where i can only get 240hz but response from league support was they support max 240hz and if i want 280hz i must set game to borderless.

Thanks for any help

For CS:GO, add:

-freq 280

In the steam launch parameters for CS:GO.

For League, if you have an nvidia GPU, then go the nvidia control panel's "3D Settings" section and set "Preferred Refresh Rate" to "Highest". This will only work when you run games in true fullscreen mode and without fullscreen optimizations (FSO). You can disable FSO by finding the exe file for the game ("League of Legends.exe" in this case,) then right click it, select "properties" and in the compatibility tab check the "disable fullscreen optimizations" checkbox.

Is there any config file that you can modify to force 280hz? That's what worked for me in the early days of R6S not supporting 280hz.

I've got the same issue for League Of Legends but there's nothing I can do to force 280hz with fullscreen, it's either 240hz or borderless window 280hz (which I don't wanna use for obvious reasons).

I actually heard that in Leage u can get better performance with borderless mode, even some pros use it from what i searched on internet
