XG2431 Refresh rate & FPS

Just received the 2431 yesterday, using it on PureXP Normal mode. I mainly play Apex Legends, and hover around 190-220 fps. It's my understanding you should match your refresh rate to your fps to avoid crosstalk. Am I close enough to 240hz to use it properly, or should I go back to 144 until I can hit 240fps consistently? For reference I'm using a Asus 5700XT.
