Compare UFOs - Ghosting / Pursuit Camera Motion Test Collection

Hello people of Blur Busters,

I've put together this TestUFO Ghosting Test/Pursuit Camera Collection out of shots that have been taken over the years. Response times, overshoot and other data reviewers provide can sometimes be confusing and that's where pursuit camera motion test comes in. If you ever wanted to know how does one monitor compare to other in terms of motion performance this is the right place to do so. Currently there are over 250 partially covered monitors and number will grow in the future.

I honestly can't believe how good the XL2546S and XL2746S look compared to the XL2546K and XL2540K. The XL2546S and XL2746S look very similar, while the K models seem to just have far more aggressive overdrive. No wonder people were complaining about the XL2546S getting suddenly discontinued...everyone who managed to get one here seemed to love it, with the only drawback the double strobing below 100hz (like the XL2746S).

I can find no feedback about the XL2746K however. But the XL2731K looks atrocious.

Of course with Dyac off, the Alienware QD-OLED looks better than anything else on the market. I have no idea why they didn't release a 60-240hz single strobed MBR version of that monitor...

Yes, the S versions are impressive. It has less aggressive overdrive and double image is fainter compare to K, meaning either panel is faster or its tuned better. If panels are the same it's tuning thing. Outside strobing X 25 look nice, VG258QM isn't bad either.

For IPS new panels such as XG249CM, XG2431, PG279QM are looking good.

OLED beats them all it just needs to catch up with brightness so we can utilize bfi properly. But they could of done it. Some people don't mind low brightness bfi.

I saw a monitor go on sale, asked myself "did this one have vrr strobing?" and then thought discorz' spreadsheet might have that information. sure enough, it does contain links for the monitors that offer the feature (even if ufo test isn't ideal for that purpose). I suspect this might be the only list around that can easily identify which monitors support it. just another way this is a great resource!

Kudos for establishing and maintaing this Ufo-Database!
Its always my first place to go when finding out about a new monitor.
But i have a suggestion and its to show wich pps setting they where recorded on, if its disclaimed somewhere or is visible in the video.
IMO everything under 1920pps at and above 240hz is too slow to really make out ghosting or overshoot for a real world comparison and can be misleading (and mislead me a bunch) of a givens screen performance.
for example im still searching for a (+)240hz ips that can do a ghosting-less dark top row at high pps.
(my best experience right now is the xv252qf at 300hz with OD normal, where the lower rows are overshoot-free and almost ghosting-free but the top row still shows a long smeary trail, wich i can see in games, too)

That's great. There is also this list of vrr strobing monitors. So far we only don't know how good is MSI's MPRT Sync.

I thought about marking every link but that would be very time consuming. Only this already is. Other than 960pps shots are marked italic. I'm not a big fan of 960pps either but most of shots online are already at that speed.

As said earlier for IPS PG279QM looks to be most ghost-free right now. For TN Omen X 25, X 27 or maybe even VG258QM. XV252Q F has fastest persistence blur outside strobing mode. Note that ghosting (response times) is separate from persistence blur (refresh rate).
