No, you should not waste money on those shields.
They won't do nothing if interference is in kilohertz range or under.

Instead you could ask your uncle to check electric equipment and wiring.

-Check that grounding is good→ low impedance
-Check that there are no currents on water pipes
-Measure that there are no currents or voltages on grounding wires in the electrical panel.
-Measure THD (Total harmonic distortion). Have the utility/electrician address power quality if THD > 5% (per IEEE-519 Std)

That neutrals and grounds are not on same metal bar. And no currents or voltages on grounding wires

You can also use AM radio. Turn it to lowest frequency and walk around your room and near the electrical panel. You should not hear any beeping sounds or different sounds. Just static.

And you don't need to remove wires, turning off switches at the main panel is enough. No current flowing = no interference (EMI).
