Plugging a PC into my outlet causes stuttering FOREVER.

Separate area for niche lag issues including unexpected causes and/or electromagnetic interference (ECC = retransmits = lag). Interference (EMI, EMF) of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction latencies like a bad modem connection. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI. Please read this before entering sub-forum.

Plugging a PC into my outlet causes stuttering FOREVER.

Post by lavar » 18 Nov 2022, 22:49

Yep. You’ve read the title.

I’ve tested tons of PC’s. Took one to my buddies house, ran smooth, plugged it into my wall, stutters, back to his, stutters still exist.

No clue what is going on. Offline/Online, it is not a hardware issue.. i’ve tested tons of diff hardware.

Whatever is going on, is ruining games that do not compile shaders before hand. I have no idea why.
COD runs smooth, once I hit PUBG,FORTNITE, the graph is awful.

How the heck can something be ruining it as soon as it plugs in? Had a UPS+Power conditioner hooked up too.

Has anyone been able to solve this using a double conversion+ a whole new setup?

How the heck do I even explain this to an electrician. My outlets are “fine”. Most electricians aren’t trained for this sorta stuff.

DL’ing games onto ram dont help either .

Why the heck is it only games that do shader compilation stuff on the go / asset streaming.

Please do not post a reply if you have input delay etc. you guys have literally a million forums. It’s extremely hard to find people with a similar issue as myself.

I think there was post on this forum explaining that he had stutters from solar power inverter. It was gone after disconnecting it.

Hey I know exactly what you’re talking about. It doesn’t stay forever but it does stay for a hour or 2. I have that same issue when I plug my pc into my house stutters like crazy. Then I plug it into my solar gen it stutters for 30 to hour depending on how long I kept my pc plugged into my houses electricity. You have to drain the bad energy out as crazy as that sounds I do believe I’m right.

In a few weeks we will have an answer to this question. I have an idea why electricity causes input lag and how dirty electricity affects the computer's power supply.
Online UPS won't help you right away.
As soon as a balanced toroidal transformer is delivered to my friend, he will test it and then I will tell you what the problem was.
Do you think the problem is dirty electricity? This is half true. The main problem lies elsewhere, and soon I will tell you what it is.
For now, I'll reveal a little secret - dirty electricity penetrates the motherboard and video card. How does it penetrate? You will soon find out.

Ya. But if that was the issue here then a UPS running on battery would fix it.

That same guy replied on a YT post that he was able to fix it with a double conversion with his solar panels on.

But still my issue is diff, i still stutter with a UPS

So Solar power fixed your issue?
