It's not electricity, or hidden network lag, or unicorn farts

This subforum is for advanced users only. This separate area is for niche or unexpected lag issues such as electromagnetic interference (EMI, EMF, electrical, radiofrequency, etc). Interference of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction (ECC) latencies like a bad modem connection, except internally in a circuit. ECC = retransmits = lag. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI.

Wrong, I play solely desktop games, and experience this.

He’s not saying electricity doesn’t cause this, he’s saying electricity isn’t the only thing that cause this and I agree with this. Many guys think it’s as easy as “fixing electricity “ or playing with power station but you will soon realise that that’s wrong and it ain’t enough
Re: It's not electricity, or hidden network lag, or unicorn farts
Sorry to tell you it’s electricity/isp. Every single house has a different feel to the game. Some have really good some have ok and some have really bad. It’s electricity based
Re: It's not electricity, or hidden network lag, or unicorn farts
thats not true, i know many semi-professionals, professionals players in cs:go, i know many are changeing houses, lan tournaments, places.. and no one noticed some change. everybody have the same feeling everywhere, only we are carriers of misfortune
Re: It's not electricity, or hidden network lag, or unicorn farts
I’ve fixed the issue by going off grid. And I’ve played at multiple houses and solar generator. I can asure you that it’s electricity

I'm having an electrician come by on monday earliest and we're gonna discuss this exact topic and we're gonna run some tests, I'm hoping to confirm it once and for all. You're talking about latency anyways, which can definitely be adjusted in a number of ways, but that's too broad of a topic.F1zus wrote: ↑25 Nov 2022, 13:08Dirty electricity contains harmonic distortion, low frequency noise, high frequency noise, DC components.InputLagger wrote: ↑25 Nov 2022, 12:27Explain your "dirty electricity" in science term. This is harmonic distortion, harmonics or something else?F1zus wrote: ↑25 Nov 2022, 11:19Listen carefully to me - input lag is not related to games. It is observed in any game and even on the Windows desktop.peak wrote: ↑25 Nov 2022, 07:22
I'm quite certain that valve shadow updated Counter Strike's mechanics in one way or another, hence most pro's are either gone or suck now. The major winners are essentially weird puggers that nobody ever really liked and we're going on an extremely lengthy win trade period. Most of my dogshit mates are suddenly 4k elo, I quit at 3k elo.
Well, even if you decide to install Linux, then the input lag will overtake you there too.
For 10 years of dealing with input lag, I have tried all operating systems:
- windows xp
- windows vista
- Windows 7
- windows 8 and 8.1
- windows 10
- windows 11
- ubuntu
- kali linux
- debian
On all these operating systems, I felt input lag.
Processors, video cards, motherboards, mice, keyboards were different.
The problem is 70% dirty electricity.
We usually measure dirty electricity with various emi meters, such as:
GreenWave_Meter-5_2-scaled.jpg
These instruments show most electrical problems, but not all.

If it is not fixed on solar power off grid, then either:paddyhhh wrote: ↑02 Dec 2022, 16:09And I did not fix it by going off grid. - Your PC is broken either by this issue or for other reason
- Solar power inverter is trash and causing issues too

I tried:dervu wrote: ↑02 Dec 2022, 17:54If it is not fixed on solar power off grid, then either:

Car battery + pure sine wave converter
Power Station
No changes
Every few weeks it sporadically fixes itself for some days/hours.
I think I will change PC completely and then quit trying to fix it
