When will Oled panels become available?
When will Oled panels become available?
All these super innovative OLED panels are of course good, but what good are they if their starting price starts from 800-1000 dollars (I take the prices of models from my country) and they are bought by enthusiasts? When should we expect the introduction of mass (500< dollars, and that’s a lot) OLED monitors?

Gonna guess sub $500 USD OLED panels will be available in the next 2-3 years, judging from my recent Micro Center website visits.

I'd say ~2025ish for the $500 price barrier to broken for desktop 240Hz OLEDs.
1000 Hz OLEDs are also coming 2027, in this OLED refresh bullet train journey.
I've also 100% converted to OLEDs for mixed usage -- even for Visual Studio / office use on the same computers.

Great. But still there are a couple of questions.Chief Blur Buster wrote: ↑01 Mar 2024, 21:35I'd say ~2025ish for the $500 price barrier to broken for desktop 240Hz OLEDs.

What about burnout? Will I still have to worry nervously while working in Microsoft Office (excel, word, PP) or playing video games? My Philips monitor has a (useless in my opinion) pixel orbiting program that shifts 1 pixel if it is not used for more than 5 minutes, do OLED monitors have something similar?
Question 2. Do they have an rgb pixel structure or the abnormal one that is used in amoled (pentile) or woled (rwgb)?
Question 3. What about PWM?
If possible, tell me which model you are currently using

$500 OLED monitors are already available in the second hand market.
Only possible through DisplayPort 2.1 I'm guessing.Chief Blur Buster wrote: ↑01 Mar 2024, 21:351000 Hz OLEDs are also coming 2027, in this OLED refresh bullet train journey.
