240hz looks better than 360hz???

I have a 271qrx and mostly play osu lazer. The game is can be capped at a multiple of refresh rate(x2, x4, x8), and a max capped frame of 1000fps. Since 360hz can only be capped at 2 times(720fps), i reduced the rate to 240hz, and capped it at 4 times. I felt like it's much more clearer overall and found it's strange. So i went to ufo multiple frame test to confirm. To my surprise, at 960 pixels per second, 240 seems clearer than 360hz(the white dots on the ship body is clearer), while 360hz is clearer at 1440 pixel per second(x4 the refresh rate). I'm a bit confused about this phenomenon.
