Service Temporarily Unavailable

Post by Oomek » 30 Oct 2016, 06:56

Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
This message appears very often recently. Maybe it's time to migrate to another host.

It happens at 8pm in AUS everyday.

It couldn't be at a worse time...

He said it's normal to go down briefly. If it's taking a long time, it means something is wrong. How long are you noticing it down for?

1 hour is way too long.
I think it is also because a backup is operating in the background, and the hosting service takes an hour to finish the backup.

So we're searching for a web hosting upgrade to an SSD so automatic nightly backups are speedily prompt. Keep tuned.

Please comment Samsung's strobing mode from what you saw at the moment.

We have purchased a new hosting service with an SSD. Cost more but 10x faster!

Keep tuned, it will go live by early December. Hopefully sooner, but migration is a bitch when I also have a full-time non-BlurBusters job. I also have to fix the persistent new-user-registration-email problems (still fails for certain forum users).

In a benchmark test, I calculate that nightly backup will take only 5 minutes instead of over an hour.
