Web and Forum can share login database ?

I can't comment in Web with Forum login, i need to make another account for Web ? Would be very usefull mix the database, if is secure and technically possible.
Yes, see this thread. I mentioned this several months ago that this is part of Phase 2 forum upgrades.
There is already a solution. However, it entails risks that I need to play a waiting game on, and test offline before deploying.
