Easier to add Avatars

Post by shadman » 31 Dec 2013, 05:08

Currently, the system requires Avatars uploaded to be only 100px x 100px, and maximum of 16KB. Most forums will have similar requirements, but will just auto-adjust the quality and size of most pictures uploaded to force them to follow these guidelines, rather than having the user go into MS Paint and change pixel size, and figure out another way to change size down as well (Just did this, not sure if there is an easier way).

I'll investigate what plugins makes it easier to upload these.

Also, I know its not related to the topic, but when quoting people it would be nice to have the quote have a link directly to the post. Not a big deal, but now it just says who it is. It will help later on when this forum gets really popular.

Duly noted. That one is a bit tricky, due to the choice of forum software we've made.

Here we go, found another: I've found multi-quoting can be a little difficult at times as well. Sure, when you go into the full editor, you get the small scroll-wheel showing the past few replies that you can click "quote" for, and multi-quote like that. But having the option to click several posts at first and then complete your post with replies, before opening the full editor would be nice.
