Viewsonic xg2431

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

Viewsonic xg2431

Post by LeLo » 06 Jan 2022, 22:25

Hello, I have a few questions about the viewsonic xg2431

is lmb technonlogie better than DyAc? or can I use the blur buster utility plus DyAc to generate the same good lmb as the xg2431

if I set the xg2431 to a good bright level, is it better than DyAc there?

can I set the xg2431 to a certain HZ number with lmb like 180hz with lmb or only 60/120/240 and can i do this with the Benq to?

if i play with DyAc and my fps drop to 180fps is it still playable is it the same on the xg2431 or could i get more ghosting with the monitor than with dyac?

and it can be that I perform worse with 23.8 inches than with 24.5 because of the pixel density

I don't know if that's a stupid question but is there a certain reason why the Benq Zowie XL2546K costs € 200 more than the xg2431 or is that just one thing that you buy the brand

I hope I get an answer to the many questions I have. It would help me a lot with my purchase decision

Hi

I'll do a quick answer for each question.

XG2431 + VT + Utility is better tuned than XL2546K with similar tweaks.

DyAc+ is marginally brighter. If high brightness strobing is a must consider Zowie. But most people prefer something more comfortable.

Yes you can strobe at any refresh rate between 60-240Hz with custom resolutions.

It will behave same on both/all strobed monitors. If framerate is not equal to refresh rate you will start seeing duplicate images so better avoid lower frame rates in this case.

Don't worry about this. We could say its the same size.

Personally, I don't think a TN panel should cost that much in 2022. Zowie needs significant price reduction. For that reason its not worth it.

Do you know if the XG's strobing is brighter than the strobing on the Benq XL2720Z? I would assume so since the 2720Z is older and uses MBR (Motion Blur Reduction), but not sure.
