Is DyAc just previous benq monitor blur reduction but without the dim?

i ask because when i used benq (xl2411z) i always used the blur reduction feature when no one else did and i loved it. i think no one used it because it made the screen extremely dim so much that it was hard to see. so is DyAc this same blur reduction feature but without the dim? or is it better?
