1440p 240hz+ BFI monitors

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

1440p 240hz+ BFI monitors

Post by SirensOW » 08 Aug 2022, 14:51

Hi all,

I am currently looking for recommendations for a new 1440p that is atleast 240hz or more with good BFI implementation.

The list on the Blur busters home page seems a little outdated and I wondering if anyone has personal experience, or owns a monitor with these specs that can confirm the BFI feature is good

I am currently using the Gigabyte M27Q-X (1440p 240hz). While its a decent monitor with good performance, the strobing mode added feels lack luster - compared to my 1080p 390hz Acer Nitro VBR extreme setting.

I currently have the Acer Nitro 1440p 270hz XV272U Xbmiipruzx on order to try out next, as I have high hopes for Acer products.

Any other recommendations would be appreciated!

Hi you could go through the site table here (Add Columns) to find your monitor preferences + test results.

https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tools/table
CPU: AMD R7 5800x3D ~ PBO2Tuner -30 ~ no C states
RAM: Gskill Bdie 2x16gb TridentZ Neo ~ CL16-16-16-36 1T ~ fine tuned latency
GPU: ASUS TUF 3080 10G OC Edition(v1/non-LHR) ~ disabled Pstates ~ max oced
OS: Fine tuned Windows 10 Pro, manual tuned.
Monitor: Alienware AW2521H ~ mix of ULMB/Gsync @ 240hz/360hz

I bought the Gigabyte M27Q-X based on their review :)

They unfortunately have not tested many newer 1440p 240/270hz+ monitors..

Thanks anyway though

Ah cool okay.

Well I think I can vouch for the AW2721D, I have the AW2521H 360hz/IPS/1080p and the tune is pretty good. Not great that it has only ULMB so only restricted to a few resolutions with refresh rate / ulmb combined but it works.

funny enough i just posted a thread in a display section..
you have 390hz same as me..use my post to turn your acer 390hz into 2560x1440p 240hz full rgb display scaled
or you can even make it 4k 140hz :)

Hi, I currently have the Acer Nitro XV272U Xbmiipruzx and I received it a few days ago, you will be surprised and disappointed (I will review it shortly on this site)

He is very good at ghosting (and the ELMB is good, not perfect but it's ok!)

But it has a lot of osd / black screen bugs with or without G-sync and I admit it's quite annoying....Acer doesn't seem to care about providing a quality OSD but hey, it's already better than HP OMEN xD

In terms of color it has the same Quantum Dots panel as the Asus XG27AQM so it's very good but the white seems slightly greener than the Asus

Ah and the Acer will be much better than your Gigabyte....Gigabyte I absolutely don't like their products and their screens are really not amazing, especially in terms of ghosting/reverse ghosting performance, what do you think of your Acer 390hz?

I will try it in a few days.
