Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

I'm wondering if a lg c1 at 120hz has better motion clarity than an lg c2 at 60hz. Also is it possible to use toastyx to add 120hz to the lg c2.

I can't remember where I read it at this point, but as I recall it, the c2 only refreshes at 120hz intervals, which is why bfi doesn't work at 120hz. If this is indeed the reason, then bfi for 60hz would mean 8~ms frame time and 8~ black time, giving it an approximate clarity equivalent to 120fps content. The reality of pixel response times means it's probably slightly less than that. It would probably be comparable to the perceived clarity of 120fps content viewed on a c1 without bfi turned on.

On the c1, 60hz BFI is closer to 5~ms frame time and 13~ms black time - not quite enough to give it "240fps equivalent" clarity, but certainly better than what's on the c2.

There are no known hacks or custom resolution tricks to give bfi support to anything above 60hz on the c2 at this time.
