Can I get any more out of the XG2431?

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

So I have been playing around with the custom settings using the strobe utility etc and its pretty good.

I wonder if its possible to get any better than this: (mine is slightly not as bad but its the only example I can find.)

That slight after image still remains no matter how much I change the crosstalk, is there anything I can tweak to improve this or is it a limitation of the monitor?

Which refresh rate are you strobe-tuning?

If you use refresh rate headroom and large vertical totals, you can get much better.

You can get the below at 60-100Hz range using refresh rate headroom + large vertical total:

Max refreshrate.
Monitor adaptor and NVCP says 240Hz but Advanced display say 239.76.
I could go for around 200Hz if there is any benefits in doing so.

I saw a vid on how to Nvidia tracks motion blur so I tried it out freehand:

Ignoring the blurryness ofc, you can see the after image I see.

Also, I tried running 60Hz and 120Hz the afterimage visibility is reduced but not completely gone.

XL2566K can achieve zero crosstalk at 100Hz with QFT, so XG2431 should be able to achieve the same.

The crosstalk improves a lot which spans the whole monitor and reduces after image visibility quite a bit aswell @120Hz and 100Hz.

The after image spaces out further behind the lower the refreshrate.

For some reason the monitor does not want to display 60Hz.

The TestUFO built into Strobe Utility pans a bit slow sometimes, so you can spacebar-disable it, and instead use www.testufo.com/crosstalk at 1920 pixels/sec as the background. This allows finer strobe adjustments, that can eliminate even more strobe crosstalk.

Pursuit camera becomes more accurate/clearer/easier if you use the Sync Track -- and if you use 4K video. Even easier if you use a third party video app (DSLRCamera for iOS) and configure its fixed exposure to approximately 4x refresh cycle.

I think I understand the method.
I tried maximizing the the pixel clock ranges to get the highest VT within range like so:

So I did the same for the lower refreshrates then reduced the VT until the monitor is able to run it without blackouts.

It has reduced it quite a bit but its so faint that its noticable in real applications.

Hey, bud. Does this not reduce your color to 6-bit or 6-bit +frc so it would read as 8 bit in windows? It appears that the monitor doesn't like the horizontal sync in the upper 270 khz range going down to 60hz. I managed upper 4400's tvl with I believe 272khz horizontal and kept the bandwidth down far enough I got to keep the 8-bit+frc color.
