Can I get any more out of the XG2431?

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

I apologize, I hope it doesn't feel like spamming at this point. I'm curious if anyone has attempted a custom ultrawide resolution on this monitor yet and how that affects all this. If the monitor is set to 1920x810 scaled to the resolution not stretched fitting the full screen. How does it affect the strobe crosstalk at different refresh rates? Will this break the monitor?

Hey, bud. Does this not reduce your color to 6-bit or 6-bit +frc so it would read as 8 bit in windows? It appears that the monitor doesn't like the horizontal sync in the upper 270 khz range going down to 60hz. I managed upper 4400's tvl with I believe 272khz horizontal and kept the bandwidth down far enough I got to keep the 8-bit+frc color.
Nope.
Are you using a display port 1.4 cable?

My monitor will support 60Hz with 4300 TVL, 4400 will black out a lot.

I am using dp 1.4 and made sure the bandwidth was correct when ordering. It's hooked up to a rx 6600. What is your bandwidth in mhz and your horizontal scan rate in khz set to 4400 tvl? Are you using Toastyx cru?

I wonder if our different issues are related. Perhaps you're gpu is still trying to force 8 bit+frc color paired with the very high mhz bandwidth forcing your screen to go out of range where as mine does not. Try making sure that your horizontal scan rate is no higher than 260ish khz and your bandwidth at 564ish mhz. However, maybe it doesn't matter that much. At 4300 tvl are you getting the crosstalk or are you now trying to make sure your vbi is large enough for the ssync?

For 60Hz:

60Hz was just a test to minimise motion blur, not for S-sync.
Higher frequencies I can run 272.700.

If you are happy with the reduction in crosstalk from this custom resolution then I wouldn't worry. I have the vertical sync polarity at negative and mostly just copied the 240hz resolution that came standard with the edid but I did have to lower the total from 4620 to just under 4500 and reducing the horizontal frequency. I recall there was a case when it would run that large of a lvt, but it blanks in and out now. I have one currently at 90hz for like cyberpunk, but I think I'll drop it down to 80hz so there's less crosstalk still and so that I can reduce my gpu usage for the S-sync.
