Post by heaheahea » 11 Aug 2014, 12:02

Hi, i have a question, how do i activate "lightboost" on this screen? and any ideas why i cant use the "built in" "autosize" and scaleing functions? it just stays fullscreen even when plugging it in and out of my computer and all settings in nvidia control panel are correct, thanks!

Try Strobelight LightBoost Utility. I've set 144Hz, installed it, rebooted, and after reboot changed to 120Hz and LightBoost worked IIRC. There is scaling options in monitors OSD.

Try both. It's personal.

As far as I know, StrobeLight doesn't support GN246HLBbid -- so another method of LightBoost is needed.

In theory, someone could lend an Acer GN246HL to ToastyX to get it to work with Strobelight. Each monitor has a manufacturer-specific modification to its LightBoost protocol, so it is not an easy task to make LightBoost enabled in a third party utility.
