Results are in Zowie XL2546X DYAC 2 runs perfect at 240HZ UFO Invasion test 0 blur with almost 0 cross talk 100% Screen

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

Seriously impressive stuff it can do this at Max 240 HZ almost perfect but interestingly it sucks at 120 HZ, not sure if Blur Buster strobe Utility will be updated because it does NOT work on this Monitor.

This monitor is also TN it has good colors for a TN actually but still washed out compared to an IPS and significantly worse than an OLED

I wanted this for 120 HZ support because you can now run all Retro Games, locked 60 FPS fighting games like street fighter 6 and Tekken 8 or PS3 emulators etc at 120 FPS interpolated using something called Lossless_Scaling Frame Generation App on Steam

https://www.resetera.com/threads/lossle ... es.804027/

^ you can read more about it here, very impressive stuff Interpolation using Machine Learning with almost no input delay if you disable VRR and click allow screen tearing option in the app

Honestly speaking I see no use of this Monitor for me because of how bad 120HZ is with lots of cross talk and if I have to use 240 HZ LCD with strobing I might aswell just use an OLED Monitor which only costs about $200 more than this thing and OLEDs are so fast at 240 HZ you don't even need strobing / BFI plus the added benefit of HDR, perfect contrast, way better color contrast and GLOSSY Screen coating (QD-OLED only since I never seen a Glossy WOLED panel) which again just beats any UGLY disgusting matte LCD by a mile.

The dream of owning a 27" 1440P 144HZ GLOSSY OLED is here, I don't see any point in owning this DYAC 2, maybe if this was 3 years ago it would have made a lot more sense.

And G-SYNC pulsar monitors will be way better than this DYAC 2 since it will strobe cross talk free at any refresh rate and might even include Mini LED IPS if we are lucky.

But if all you care about is completely blur free strobing like a CRT and you can somehow maintain 240 FPS in every game you play then this monitor is perfect. I don't think anything has ever come as close to a CRT as this Monitor, too bad it's performance sucks at 120 HZ

Sadly, The only way to fix "bad crosstalk at 120hz" is to update the Blur Buster strobe Utility....

What makes Dyac special is that it is the only strobing technique that maintains over 350 nits. Especially at 2546k.

However, I was disappointed because the brightness went down a lot at 2566k.

I wonder what it will be like on the 2546x, which has been changed to Dyac2. I hope a detailed review comes out soon.

Just 1080p 24" is way too much for me to even consider upgrading from also Benq 1080p 144Hz (XL2411Z) which is a model that's now almost 10 years old.

500$ for this is just awful and it's even worse if you compare the price of used XL2411Z (100$) to this 500% and it only differs in 240Hz and a bit brighter image.
Even if it was 500Hz, or that neat 540Hz superfast TN panel, it's sill way too much for the specs similar to what was available in stores at 200-300$ a decade ago. 240Hz is pointless to anyone but the most hardcore esport players. Don't get me wrong, I get it. Less lag, better image. OK. But in terms of scores, I think everyone will notice better results at 60>120Hz, but only like 1-10% will scrore better results after 120->240Hz. Or maybe I'm just old and even 10000Hz woudn't turn me into a good e-sport player ;)

It's good that this monitor gets released, but it's a missed opportunity to offer something actually important for the blur-free world.

PS. If you write that something has 0 blur, and post a video about it, I think you should pick 2000pix/s ufo moving speed, not 1/4 of that like on the video above (I'm only guessing, but surely it's far from 1920pix/s setting I always use myself when testing)
Zero blur means you can see everything in fast motion and this on the vid, looks like very, very slow movement.

Can you test if this monitor single strobes at 60hz, or does it double strobe?

No this monitor cannot do 60hz single strobe this is useless at 60hz it is also useless at 120 HZ strobe so much cross talk its bad.

Over priced Junk from zowie, the only thing it has good is a bright strobing picture.
The XG 2431 does everything else better besides brightness.

Wait for Blur Buster 2.0 monitor coming this year.

Well, i was interested in this but if for some reason there's a game that can only do 120hz and you say 120hz is worse then what other good TN (I repeat: TN) options are out there that can run 120-144-240hz without strobing on all modes AND DOESN'T HAVE COIL WHINE like the ZOWIE monitors? (Since nobody has reported a recent manufacturing date with a fix to the monitors, not even BenQ / ZOWIE on Reddit, like the xl2540k)

Coming from a BenQ XL2420T with a light "light" brush trail over the screen for no reason. IPS / VA / OLED are NOT an option

Yeah this monitor is junk at 120 HZ strobing and blur buster strobe utility doesn't work with it either so ur out of luck for LVT / QFT tricks etc

BenQ lied through their ass about DYAC 2, just typical garbage marketing nonsense again

I'm not moving off the pg27aqn until we have the 480hz oled with BFI. if I can get 240hz strobed oled I will finally feel on par with CRT once again. only took 20 years

For retrogaming you can use software BFI in retroarch. On 240hz monitor in retroarch set BFI to 3 (three black frames).
LSFG in not good for very fast motion in retro games like sonic the sonic the hedgehog 2. But software BFI in retroarch could be good.

Currently enjoying 120 HZ 120 FPS Street Fighter 6 using a frame gen app on steam called lossless_scaling with 200 nit brightness on my XG2431 I got today tuned for almost perfect full screen cross talk its something in the range of 750 HZ OLED at 750 FPS

The smoothness and clarity is truly something to behold when you are playing such slow paced games with strobing where you have the time to see everything so clearly especially a game like that which is so beautifully animated.
