Lightboost at BENQ xl2411z with RADEON
Hi. Before i changed my gpu from geforce to radeon lightboost works fine with #3 method from lightboost howto (cru edit and in nvidia CP wizard running) i've got in monitor menu nvidia lightboost option. But i changed my gpu to radeon hd 6850 and strobelight don't work (initializing monitor ...) what should i do to enable lightboost at benq xl2411z with radeon? Maybe should i do method #4? Install the asus video drivers and then strobelight maybe work? What do you think?

You need an Nvidia card or laptop to unlock 3d lightboost (Then you can use the lightboost modes through custom resoulution/CRU edit for VT's on the radeon (as long as the monitor is not AC unplugged) after the monitor has been unlocked). No other way, sorry.

Lol. I usin now radeon and i got it worked by #3 method from this site ;d, asus drivers install + registry file, reboot and toastyx strobelight create strobed resolutions, once again reboot and it works.

What? ASUS drivers? How did you install Asus drivers on a Radeon?
Fill me in....I want to try this (I'm sick of having to move my laptop around to use it to unlock lightboost).
I checked the entire site and I don't see how Nvidia asus drivers would even work on a Radeon...wouldn't it say no compatible hardware found? What exactly did you do here? (step by step).
Did you have an Nvidia card installed at the same time or something?

I haven't got nvidia card installed. First i download asus drivers for monitor (http://www.blurbusters.com/files/LightB ... erride.inf) i installed this, then i downloaded this http://www.blurbusters.com/files/ForceL ... lasses.reg and added to registry. Then i reboot my computer. Now i download strobelight, launched setup, added ALL resolutions (all strobed and all non-strobed), rebooted again. Now when i launch strobelight it works, ctrl alt + launched strobelight, then ctrl + alt + 0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/0 adjusting percent of lightboost, it works on my radeon hd 6850 ;d

This shouldn't work.
Did you power down the monitor after switching from Nvidia to AMD?
Most likely lightboost was already initialized (correction: UNLOCKED).
If you never cut AC power to the monitor after switching cards, then lightboost was already available.
The INF override is just to trick the NVIDIA Drivers that you have a monitor that has a built -in 3d emitter installed (namely the VG278H or HE).
You can't make lightboost work the way you just did. It has to communicate with the Nvidia drivers' 3d setup in order to unlock lightboost.
I'm 102% sure you did NOT unplug or AC power off the monitor since you switched from Nvidia to AMD. I bet you that if you unplug the monitor from the wall and try this, it won't work. Because if it did, Chief would have told us about this method.
Do you want to unplug the monitor and try your steps again? (I'm sure it won't work!)
(I don't recommend unplugging!)
Lightboost was already unlocked. All you had to do was add the custom resolutions: 1138 VT for 100 hz, 1143 VT for 110 hz and 1149 VT for 120hz is what tells the monitor to turn on lightboost. i don't unplug ;d. So then when i go unplug and lightboost don't work, i must only connect again old nvidia gpu, turn ON lightboost, off computer, put radeon new gpu and start the computer and in cru create resolution with 1149 vertical tick and 120hz? And strobelight don't work or what? Can i adjust the brigthness of lightboost ??

4. i've got lightboost activated, in OSD i've got nvidia lightboost option
5. Turn off computer, unplug nvidia card and plug RADEON card
6. run CRU and set 1138 vt 100hz, 1143 vt 110hz, 1149 vt 120hz @ 1920x1080
7. reboot
8. Then lightboost on radeon is activated? I've got in OSD option to configure lightboost % or not?

I don't have an Nvidia card. so I don't know. #2 or #3 is usually the best method, afaik. I think most people use #3. I used a laptop with the inf override and a dvi to hdmi adapter which worked, but barely, since I couldn't even create a proper refresh rate easily since it was through hdmi, so I had to use a custom resolution, and the monitor complained about 'incorrect cable' but managed to work. I had the 3d vision emulator installed also for good measure.
