G-Sync and ULMB at the same time is in fact possible!

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

Does this monitor do ULMB at 144Hz? If not, then in the NVCP, in the 3D settings section, set "preferred refresh rate" to application controlled. Otherwise, starting games will switch the monitor to 144Hz.
Thanks !! Full screen working wonderfully now.
After trying fullscreen lag / stuttering disappear. The questions remain what is proper settings for ULMB + G-Sync.

Hi,

I own a ViewSonic XG2703-GS monitor and I try to enable G-Sync+ULMB.

I followed the steps with CRU, adding +5 (1525->1530) in the 120Hz profile.
After restart, when I switch to the modded 120Hz settings the "ULMB" option is greyed in the screen OSD.

If I reset CRU modifications and restart the driver, I can enable ULMB through OSD @120Hz, but not G-Sync.

I have a fresh Windows 10 and the lastest Nvidia drivers.

Thanks for yoour help!

Have you followed the steps as described here:

Yes I followed these instructions.

My monitor is greying the ULMB option when using the custom 120Hz profile, maybe the firmware has been patched in the last revision ?

Have you tried the change via ToastyX CRU instead of NVIDIA CRU?

I used ToastyX CRU. Do you think Nvidia CRU would work better?

If I use G-Sync + ULMB at 120Hz should I limit my frame to 118 (2 fps below refresh rate ) or 119.XXX (with low lag v-sync method) ?

2 below the refresh rate.

The 119.xxx makes sense if you DON'T have G-sync since but it has more latency.

Thanks. I use 119.XXX since reading this thread not too long ago. Will try 118 now. So the optimal settings is.
G-Sync On
ULMB On
V-Sync On
RTSS limit = 118
