Strobelight - Mantle - BF4 Issues

Post by Raffish » 04 Feb 2014, 06:41

Hi all

I have updated my Catalyst & BF4 recently to make use of the Mantle API. I have noticed now with Mantle active lightboost will disable when the game loads.

On my monitor BenQ XL2420TE the 3D light will come on when I'm using lightboost, this is the case on the desktop. As soon as i switch to the game window it will go blank and the 3D light will go off. It appears to go back to normal settings. Switching back to the desktop re-enables lightboost.

Has anyone else experienced this yet?

Thanks.

Make sure your in-game refresh rate is set to 120hz. BF4 automatically switches to your monitor's highest refresh rate (144hz). You can change this in the in-game video settings.

That sorted it out. Thanks.

Odd, before the update I had BF4 @ 144hz and it didn't have a problem with it.

You had it at 144Hz and had LB at the same time? Didn't think that was possible at present?

I did, I don't expect it was running at 144, but it left the preset there without disabling LB
