It's a new user feature to prevent spammers (we've had a major spammer problem where people post legitimate sounding computer posts, only to later edit to add an advertisement, sometimes to NSFW sites or household products etc).

Once you make enough posts, the forum automatically lets your post become visible as long as all posts are compliant with forum rules.
