Question: Black Frame Insertion

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

Question: Black Frame Insertion

Post by Kheri » 15 Apr 2019, 00:32

is there any Black Frame Insertion software/technology that would work for virtually any 60fps games? E.g. turning it on as a setting in Nivida Control Panel.

Also, if there isn't (I'm assuming there isn't), why not? I think I did see someone make it for some games (not mame, etc.) but it's been awhile.

I'm not aware of any such tool.

Someone implemented it for games that have source code available (like open source engines for Quake and such.) There is no generic tool that can inject BFI to an executable. I don't know how well that would work.
