Is turning off and on lightboost frequently bad?

I finally got light boost to work with the CRU application method on my ACER GN246HL. I set it up so my desktop refresh rate is 144hz, and only when I play CSGO lightboost is on at 120hz. However that means I would be toggling on and off lightboost frequently through the day. Is that going to put any negative strain on the hardware of the monitor or graphics card?

Also I didn't figure out how to force lightboost for other games. For CSGO, the source engine has easy refresh rate launch settings but for other games like Fallout 4, I can't seem to enable lightboost. Would I need a program like nvidia profile inspector?

i've turned it on and off very frequently on my asus vg248qe since 2012 until now so i'd say its perfectly fine,

if you run 120 hz at desktop then games will also run at 120 hz, if some games trouble you with that like not being able to select 120 hz when you have 144hz on the desktop etc... after setting colors and brightness up I have lightboost on at all times even on desktop, once you get used to the deep blacks and dimmer brightness levels of lightboost, as well as the insanely smooth scrolling and clarity you won't even want to use 144hz on desktop ! just way less strain on the eyes imo with lightboost, and no problem with it being too dark at all, even on 10% strobing,

atleast for me thats how it is :P at this point I prefer lightboost in all scenarios atleast, my 2 cents !
