Games that you need to play with LightBoost 10%

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

Games that you need to play with LightBoost 10%

Post by TkBaha85 » 08 Apr 2014, 14:26

Hi

I wanna make a small list of my games that are amazing to play.

"SteamWorld Dig(2D)" - this game in motion looks fantastic
"Dishonored" - must been seen to be believed, crystal clear picture, u can read posters on the walls while strafing/moving etc. simply amazing, very easy to get 120fps, best to play with controller

"Portal 2" - another game that is best to play with controller
"Left4Dead 2" - fast game, benefits alot from LightBoost
"CS:GO" - another fast game
"Borderlands 2" - best to play with controller, runing and shooting around Pandora never looks so clean!
"Bioshock Infinite" - fantastic game but i have some problems with vsync, sometimes is capping to 60fps
"Fifa 14" - while playing u can see very clean ball at almost every speed
"Nba 2k14" - if someone love basketball, must play!
"Starcraft 2" - best RTS that benefits the most from clean motion, panning camera feels so natural!

i'm playing this games on Gtx 580/i5

maybe you guys knows about another must play games 2D/3D, i love play 2D games with LightBoost

Greetings.

Oh yeah, I am going to try Fifa 14, such a game is perfect for it with the constant sideways-moving camera.

I'd add the "Scout" character in Team Fortress 2.
Such fast movement really benefits from low-persistence gaming monitor modes such as LightBoost.

For Bioshock Infinite, you want to reduce shadow detail 2 notches, and view distance 1 notch, in order to get framerates more consistently 100fps or 120fps. If you have difficulty maintaining 120fps but can maintain 100fps, try 100Hz LightBoost VSYNC ON if you're prioritizing on fluidity of motion (e.g. solo gaming) rather than prioritizing on input lag (e.g. competitive gaming).

Another way to get clearer motion than LightBoost 10%, while getting better colors, is to use BENQ Blur Reduction combined with Blur Busters Strobe Utility on XL2411Z, XL2420Z, and XL2720Z.

I think there's a range of numbers that work.
But for mine it was front porch 48/3, sync width 32/5, 1920x1080 and 2080 pixels and 1138 lines.
I think any number between 1138 to 1149 may work.

Yes, the Vertical Total is the same.
