Wow, I've been dreaming of a monitor like that for years. (strobing, 'gsync', IPS, 1080p)
I'll be ordering one from the UK (only 30 pounds shipping to EU).
I can finally replace my 9 year VG278H lightboost monitor.

And also get a new GPU (which don't have DVI anymore, so no 120hz compatibility with VG278H)

Remember you will have to choose between FreeSync(G-SYNC Compatible) and strobing, you can switch modes, just not both simultaneously!

BTW, you will be pleased that the quality of XG270 is far beyond a 2013-era LightBoost monitor. Just remember to download the firmware upgrade once it arrives (to give you additional PureXP+ brightness options).

Strongly Recommended with strobe backlights: Use a low-latency VSYNC ON technique (current simplest is VSYNC ON + NULL, or use Fast Sync + NULL + framerate cap, or use RTSS Scanline Sync). This fixes the increased microstuttering trait of strobe backlights (it also happens on CRT but is particularly more visible with LCDs due to the LCD resolution crispness). The lack of motion blur makes stutters easier to see, which is why you have to upgrade your stutter-elimination technique to score well with strobe backlights.

Is this currently a better method than the RTSS pinpoint decimal framerate cap combined with Vsync to have the best blur reduction experience? I love RTSS, but it does have issues with certain games (pretty sure it is the reason Fortnite is crashing on me).

Hi guys, I just need your opinion on two monitors that I'm looking at. One of cos is the viewsonic xg270. The other is the Lenovo Y27gq-25.
Right not I mostly play For Honor. Sometimes I do Anthem.

I don't really like shooting games so I don't play them much. Although I've done division. Price regardless please let me know which monitor would be better for a game like For Honor, fps and clarity wise as well as picture quality wise.

I like the Lenovo 1440p with 240hz but was wondering with the ips panel on the viewsonic at 1080p and backstrobe would that be better for me? I'm noob when it comes to monitors so any advise will be appreciated.

The usual -0.01 RTSS cap has the best chance of being stutter-free while also preventing quite a bit of input lag from occurring. RTSS scanline sync provides the lowest input lag of all methods (it's the same as vsync OFF input lag,) but might produce some stutter with high GPU loads. Fast sync will stutter unless you can reach a framerate that's in the hundreds (like 300FPS.)

Is this MBR (PureXP+) works with G-Sync? Because I play game with fps fall to 60, even with 1080ti and 1080p, so I dont know if this is function and monitor is for me.
